CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

yep. I miss the Army. The longer I am out, the more I think of my years of service and the experiences - both good and bad.

Every day. Of course, I'm not old enough to be authentically nostalgic, IE to actually "yearn" for the "old days," but I do have many pleasant memories of the "past."

Not my personal past. I mean there've been some great times in the past, but its hard to have great times in the future if you're living in the past.
I do thing many people long for that mythical better times.

Dostoyevsky was right
I often feel nostalgic for the past, even the not-so-great parts. It's not something I dwell on constantly but when I'm feeling discontent with the present it's nice to remember the way things were and all the wild and crazy things I did. I've changed a lot and sometimes I miss the way I was and the things I used to do, so it's nice to reflect.

I feel nostalgia for old SNES games, I have a steadily growing collection to reclaim my old glory. It's too bad I can't find any copies of Super Mario RPG, or Lagoon, I'll just have to settle for the emulators I suppose.
That and surge. Anyone remember that stuff? It was great, like caffeiniated sprite, for a while it replaced mountain dew as my favorite soft drink. Whatever happened to that stuff?

I mainly feel nostalgia in the form of wanting to talk with people that I have lost touch with for quite a while.
