Nose Bleeds???

Lately my nose has been bleeding... and I have never had a bleeding nose before in my life.
Is this something to do with pregnancy???
If so is it a common thing?

It has bled 3 times when I am in the shower and today at work it started to bleed...
It kinda freaked me out a little bit, cause i really wasn't expecting it!

I don't know about pregnancy, but I started to get them out of no where when the weather turned dry (summer and winter). I was able to fix the with the cure-all vasaline up the nose. It's gross, but a little goes a long way, and once it gets a little more moisturized, it should stop the bleeding.

It's weird isn't it? I'd never had a bloody nose before and then WHAM; it looked like I'd been shot or something. I didn't know that much blood could come out. I hope that helps.

Yes, it can be common to pregnancy. All the systems in your body tend to go sluggish... and it's also very common to have more congestion but have dry sinuses at the same time.

Mine bled all the time when I was pregnant with my second DD, but not my first DD.

I had that early on in my second trimester, right at the time most medical books tell you that you will -- but I also had a sinus infection, so I was kind of up the creek....

I get them once in a blue moon now, so looks like things have mostly returned to normal. I did notice though I am having to blow my nose if I'm outside for a while and then come into a warm building. (We've had temps between 20°F-40°F lately here)
