Wasn't that a site to see? Have to be honest, and confess I didn't see the American side of things, except at the International Event, but I heard it was pretty moving on Omaha.
For the British part of things at Bayeux, and then at Arromanche, it was all pretty emotional, and nothing could fill me with greater pride then seeing those old soldiers march in step past the Queen.
For me, the whole weekend was summed up by an old boy putting his hands on the grave of one of his fallen friends, saying, "Rest in peace old friend. Rest in peace."
