I was sitting here thinking, We have add ons about almost everything, but really no real life add ons. So the Idea of this add on is to be a real life, down to earth add on.

Derek Was biking Hard. He had woken up Late and couldnt be tardy again. He peddled even faster. He had to get to Work soon. He didnt want to get Fired. He needed the money. Ecpesially now, with his car in the shop. Derek Flew around the corner and into the back parking lot of the coffe shop. He threw his bike in the bushes and Ran into work...

Lives: In house with two other friends

Situation: Works at coffee shop, is taking classes in college to become a teacher (bachelor's degree), looking to move on with her life after high school

Laurie saw the guy who helped her on Thursdays come in, and looked down at her watch. He was five minutes late, but she decided she wouldn't say anything. She knew all about bad days. She put on a grin and said, " Today you get to have fun restocking coffee on the shelves. You know what goes where, so I'll leave it up to you. Just do all the boxes in the storage room." After giving the guy, she thought his name was Derek, his orders, she went back into the room and started to get things marked for sale. Her life as a college student and coffee seller wasn't very interesting, but at least it was going somewhere, unlike the endless summer after high school. She'd anticipated being in college so much, and now that she was into her second year with two of her old friends, she was glad she'd applied to the dinky college in the middle of nowhere. She heard a noise outside that sounded like a crash, and got up and ran out into the shop. She saw coffee bags on the floor and giggled while Derek just said, "oops."

Derek was a little bit embaressed. He grabbed the dust pan and sweeped the spillin coffe up and then started to work on his duties.

Derek had just finished work, hne walked outside to get on his bike, and it was gone! He was mad. He went inside to see if anyone could help a man out.

Laurie went back into the storage room with a grin on her face. The incident was just what she'd needed to brighten her day up. She placed all of the boxes back on the shelves, making sure they were marked first. She looked down at her watch and saw that it was only five minutes untill closing, and that they should probably start closing up. She made sure everything was in place in the store, and watched Derek leave. Then she locked up and went to her car. Just as she started it up, she realized she'd forgotten the back door.

Laurie went back in and was surprised to find Derek there. He was obviously as surprised as she was. She saw that he was out of breath again and she asked him what was wrong.

Derek explained," I left my bike in the bushes out back, and now it's gone. I would take my car, but it's in the shop. So I was going to call someone to pick me up." Laurie offered,"I could give you a ride to campu if ya wanted." Derek exepted the offer, and they locked the back door and left.

Laurie was just a little nervous as she drove her car to the campus. She had no idea who this person really was, but he seemed nice enough. She turned on the radio and let some music play as she struck up a conversation with him.

"So, what are you studying?" she asked.
"Oh, I'm doing counseling. How about you?" he replied

Laurie didn't know what she would tell him. She wasn't sure she wanted to tell him what she was really doing, but she decided he looked harmless enough.

"I'm majoring in elementary education." she said.

She didn't know this guy, and she was already telling him things she didn't tell anybody. Something about him was disarming, and his grin drove away any mistrust she would've had about going on with the conversation.

Derek was kinda intrested in Laurie. He had worked with her for a while, but they rarley talked. When Laurie pulled up in front of his dorm, he thanked her for a ride and went in. When he went to his room, he saw that his buddy was gone, so he turned on the comnputer and went to see who was on to talk to. He felt like talking, about nnothing particular.

Laurie let him out at his dorm and said no problem when he thanked her. She drove off with a squeal of tires. She felt like doing some racing, but she didn't want to risk being caught, so she just drove to the house she shared with her other two friends instead. She got in and unlocked the door and went inside to find that the house was a wreck. As usual she thought. She started picking up some of her things and putting them away when her two friends, Katy and Samantha ( sam for short ) walked in the door. By the smell of their breath and their demeanor, she could tell they were totally drunk. She just shook her head and gave a slight grin to her roommates. They were wild, and she was nothing like them, but they'd managed to become like the Three Musketeers. She looked at them and said, "So! How was YOUR night?"

Derek found one of his friends he hadnt talked toi in a while. They were just talking about nonesence. Derek liked it. Derek ddit like stress. He picked up the phone, and ordered a pizza. It was a fri. night, so there was no school tomorow. He just decisded to chill. He went surfing for websites, when a certianain one cought his eye. It was a personal add from someone at thins calloge. the name was Lauren. He wondered who that was. He continued to surf the internet, talki9ng to his friend, and eating pizza.

Kara locked up her car, and headed towards class. The highlight of her week was almost here. When her classes ended, she walked to the park, which was only a block from the college. She walked around a little bit, trying to calm herself down. Her friend Laurie walked over to her, and as they were talking, when she saw him. Kara stopped talking and excused herself. She sqealed and ran into the open arms of Daniel McCormic. He twirled her in the air, and they embraced. When she pulled back, Daniel exsamened her.
"Goodness. Has it really been three years?"
"Yes, it's been three years. Oh, Daniel you have no idea how long I've waited for this moment!" She smiled, and hugged him again.
"Me too. I've been waiting forever to see you. And, I've also got a question to ask you."
"You've been here two minutes and you already have questions?" Kara laughed. Infact, she was so excited she didn't see him kneeling.
"Kara Juliet Nightengale, will you marry me?"
Kara's eyes widened, and her mouth dropped. Smiling, she replied,
"Yes."
Daniel stood, and once again twirled her in the air. Laughing, the newly engaged couple made their way back to the college.

Derek was just surfing the internet. He looked at the clock, it was 3:00 am. "where is my roomy?" He woundered. Derek was tired, so he decided to turn in.

"Riing" "What is that sound?" Derek thought. "Riing" Derek picked up the phone while looking at the clock, it was 6:00. "Hello?" Derek asked. "Is this Derek Haan?" the voice asked. "Yes it is. Who is this?" Derek asked. "This is the police department. Your room mate, Charles Parker, Was killed in a car crach at 2:00."

Derek didnt started to cry. Charles was gone. He couldnt believe it. He looked at the clock. It was 7:00. The officer told him he could come down to the police department to pick up Charles things. Charles had no family. Derek decided he needed to shower and eat.

Derek was looking at Charles moped. It was a nice little thing. Derek guessed that it was his, now. Derek would take it over to the police staton in a bit. To bad Charles' car was totalled. Before Derek left, he called the coffe shop. No one was there, yet, but he left a message. "This is Derek. I just wanted to imform you that I will not be coming into work today. There was an acident. Charles, my room mate, died in a car acident. I need to take today off. I will be in tomorow to work though." Derek said in a hoarse voice.

Kara and Danny walked hand in hand back to the college. When they got there, they went straight to the caffeteria.

"Do you know how he died?" Derek Ansked. "He was drinking." the officer responded. "Now take charles' stuff and get lost, we're busy!" With that Derek took the stuff, and left on the moped. He did'nt know what to do. b He decided to stop by the coffe shop to make sure that they were able to hanle it without him there.

JOB: Works part-time in an expensive Italian(o) restaurant as niece of the owner.

LOCATED: Fifth door on the right, third storey of Dorm 1.

CURRENT STATUS: Working in Del Romero Pizzaria, it's 5:00 PM, and it's packed to the brim and overflowing. Serving in the student lounge, which is separated from main area by frosted glass sliding doors.

HISTORY: Italian, does not know her history since she never met her divorced father and her mother died when she was twelve. She has been raised by aunts.

DISPOSITION: Pure Italian, flavored with a dose of Canadian. Fiery temper and emotive eyes. Uses her hands to speak. Usually slow and quiet to say something. If you refer to her past she becomes troubled and silent. She is very persuasive and manipulating sometimes, but has a wit to match her temper -- usually dormant but fearsome.

Laurie watched as Kara seemed to breeze over to a guy in the park. She saw them embrace and felt a little sting of jealousy, and then sighed and decided to go home. She then saw the guy stoop down, and decided this might be worth waiting and watching. She saw him propose, and then she saw Kara say yes. She should've run over to congratulate her, but she knew this was their moment. She went to her car and started it up and left. She decided since it was late enough by the time she did all her grocery shopping and restocked the fridge, she could just go home and be exhausted and hit the sack. She ran into walmart and got everything, then started back home. By this time it was dark.

When Laurie got home, she looked over on the couches. Sure enough, there were Katie and Samantha both looking dogged out. She took it as a sign that they'd already gotten over throwing up. She took the broth to the kitchen and made some. She put hers in a cup and theirs in the fridge. Then she left them a note to tell them all they had to do was microwave it. After her long day, she showered and then went to bed. By the time she finally got there, it was eleven.

She heard her alarm going off at seven the next morning and she groaned and rolled over to turn it off. Then she dragged herself out of bed and into the bathroom. She got dressed and put on her makeup, and then went into the kitchen to get something for breakfast. She microwaved the broth and went to slump down at the kitchen table. She didn't have to be at work till eight, and it was seven forty. She had another ten minutes, but figured she might as well get there early and open up.

Laurie grabbed her broth and sipped it on the way to work. When she got there, the sun was already up and beautifully shining over the town. She got out and went and unlocked. When she got in, she saw the red light flashing on the phone. She turned on the lights and went over to it. She began to check the messages. There was one message. She waited impatiently for it to tell her what it was.

When Laurie heard the message and Derek's hoarse voice, she almost dropped the phone. She knew what it felt like to lose somebody you were close to. She put it down and a wave of nausea swept over her. She held her stomach and waited untill it was gone, and then got up and started packing up some things. She was putting things on the shelf when she heard a car outside. She turned and walked behind the desk, ready to help and give assistance if the customer needed it.

She looked down at her desk a moment when she heard the bell jingle on the door and gained her composure and tough look again. Then she looked up and saw that it was Derek, and not a customer. The nausea swept over her again, but this time she was able to hold on and not double over. She walked over to him and held his gaze for a moment. He looked haggard and tired. Then she said, "How are ya doing?"
