• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In a way it's not a bad idea but I don't see the point myself. It is a Christian website where atheists and other non-Christian denominations are allowed to post and interact with other Christians. The website is not meant to be a website for all religions where equal portions of the site are dedicated to them.

I think that there should be a non Christian forum. The subforums could be Atheism, Judaism,Agnostism,Islam,Pagan, and then Other Religions. This way we could have a larger sphere of influence plus more room to express our ideas.

I just do not see this happening as this is a Christian web-site where we are to reach the world for Christ. To have a Christian influence.

WE are not here to promote Non-Christian religions.

And why would you want to come to a Christian web-site or forum to "promote", "influence" others for Non-Christianity?

Are there not other forums on the internet where atheists, Orthodox Judaism, Agnostics, Pagans, Islamics, and others can go to be with "like-minded" people? Why pick on this area, this web-site?

God Bless

Till all are one.

Does the "Exploring Christianity" section still have that rule about the number of non Christian posters to a thread?

The purpose of the "Exploring Christianity" section is spelled out here:

Exploring Christianity Forum
This is a forum where non-Christians are encouraged to ask questions about those aspects of the Christian faith which seem hard to understand or accept, and where Christians can enter into discussion with them on these questions.

We recognize that real seekers are looking for real answers, and the first reply given may be insufficient to achieve this. It is acceptable for the Original Poster (OP) to probe the answers given, and to continue the discussion on lines which help to clarify their understanding of the Christian faith.

Now as to whether it is still in effect, I don't know, but, yes there was a rule that also stated:

If another non-Christian seeker wishes to ask questions about the Christian faith, they may start their own thread. No more than one non-Christian (the OP) may post in a thread.

Both of these are found here:

Link

If one Non-Christian wants to ask Christians questions on matters of Christian faith or doctrines, then they are allowed to. But only one Non-Christian may ask per thread.

If you have questions, then you can start another thread and ask questions there.

I don't see what is so hard to understand or live by that?

God Bless

Till all are one.
