You said I am missing out on something. You said it is a 'mystery' why I would not want to have access to these sacraments.

I need all the help I can get, and I get all the help I need. His Grace is sufficient for me without the assistance of sacraments.

That is what you are missing. We believe the ordinary means of grace is through the sacraments. They are not separate.

If you are a universal salvationist then that excludes faith in Christ as being necessary for salvation does it not?

I never said by default children who are not baptized will burn in hell. The Catholic church does not teach that, and never has.
I have not really delved into that doctrine, and wonder if this favorite commentator of mine would be classified as that?

No, it does not. Maybe you need to actually read on what "Christian" Universalists believe. I believe that ALL will bow to the name of Jesus Christ eventually.. I do not subscribe to the pagan mythology of eternal torment, another Pagan Rome deception.

Christ is the way, truth and life and NO MAN will get to God except through him.

Why do they need to be sprinkled then? What is the purpose?

Yes, he believes in Ultimate Reconcilation/Universal Salvation. I believe you need to actually read why he believes it and then come to your conclusion.

Do you remember this dialogue between L.K. and J.O. sometime back?
Seems like J.O. "waffled" a bit on who was and wasn't saved.....Pretty interesting

I heard about that, but did not actually see it. I am not sure what he believes or why, I know what I do and why.

Eternal Torment is a pagan belief passed into the Church, another deception that was not originally taught or believed by the early Christians.

From my debates with Jews, Judaism does not hold to an "eternal torment" doctrine as do Christians and Jews.

And who should know better than those that Jesus came to first. I always assumed it was the RCC that started that doctrine

You might check out this thread I started awhile back on another board :)

Ok, I will check it out. Thanks.:)

Yes, I later found out that the Jews did not believe in it. I had no clue about that, but it made sense after the Lord showed me the truth. The RCC is responsible for this lie, it origins are still pagan though.

The problem is when you have been indoctrinated, it is hard to see the truth. You are brainwashed and programmed by centuries of deception, it really takes the Holy Spirit to open your eyes. I do not believe God intends to open everybody eyes either regarding this, not all in this 'age' will come to believe it.

I find more people who are new in Christ and have no had a chance to be indoctrinated are able to receive a lot more from God than one who believes he knows all there is to know already.

I knew what you meant. ;)

They can say what they want about the Jews, they know enough to know there no such thing as eternal burning chamber. :thumbsup:Centuries of corruption and doctrines of man have created all these deceptions.

I just thank God for opening my eyes, I really do. My relationship with God went to another deeper level unlike anything I can describe, and it has gotten deeper and deeper every since.

It is like I truly can be in love with him and serve him out of Love. I am not serving him out of fear, but simply because I discovered his unconditionally love for me and I am able to love others unconditionally as well. It is truly a powerful thing, words do not describe. So, people can think what they want. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt the truth about eternal torment and I have never been more at peace with God or deeper in communion with him since.

It is like he is peeling back layers of onions off of my eyes. Layer by layer by layer...Unfortunately, the average Christian is comfortable in what they are taught to believe. Nobody seeks God for themselves anymore. Seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be opened...If you ask for bread, he will not give you a stone.

I've always found this line of thought utterly strange. I'm guessing you adhere to some form of revisionist history involving "remnant" protoprotestants that were always suppressed by the Evil Catholic Church, no?

If so, where are these protoprotestants in history? If not, then how in the world do you justify "centuries of deception" when Protestantism didn't exist until the 1500s?

I have NO clue what you mean by 'remnant' protoportestants. I have never heard of that before.

All I can say is that eternal torment is deception, it is deception. I could go into more, but I won't right now.

Baptism brings you into the New Covenant. It makes you a child of God, a brother or sister of Christ.

If you are not baptised you are not a Christian.

There seems to be al lot of things you are not going into now.

You make a lot of claims and then side step justifying them.

I have said what I believe and why regarding the torment issue. What else do you want?

You just want someone to debate with, I am already debating with enough people.

Nope, I am not going to debate every single topic that is brought up. Sorry.

ANM29, I have to give you credit. I've never met a universal salvationist who also espouses all the standard rhetoric of the evil Catholic church being pagan. You are a first for me. Nice chatting with you. :)
