Noisiest Fish!

I know it sounds strange but my fish (Meg and Bobbie) are really noisy! They suck up pieces of gravel and spit them against the side of the tank. This usually happens when I'm trying to get to sleep (typical!) and it stops me! I was wondering whether anyone else had fish who were noisy. I just figured it was kind of funny considering people don't really think of fish as being particularly loud or disruptive; dogs/cats/even hamsters yes but fish???

Oh, our fish do that, well they arent mine, they are my sisters, so they dont keep me awake

Try feeding them just before you go to bed, this has helped my sister

They actually do get worse sometimes after I've fed them! I'm not sure why they do it.

Well, if Meg and Bobbie are really opposite genders, then it's possible they are rearranging their tank to make way for little ones. Our cichlids always did this, but I don't remember the same habit being in guppies or goldfish.

I have no idea..just ordinary goldfish I think...oh the ignorance!!!! My poor fish to have such an uncaring owner

lol, sounds like me, I have 5 fishies, and have no clue, what exactly they are, but anyway back to the topic; I use to have 2, that use to do the samething, but they did it just when I wasn't near. It's was wierd.

My Oscar was really noisy. He would bump the glass to get my attention. He moved gravel all the time and would spit it against the glass. If you kept the lid open he would splash water out of the tank. Noisy fish if I'd say.
