IMO, I am with Daniel Dennett and believe, all religious philosophy should be taught to students, in a type of religious history class.

But, teaching creation in science? I don't think so, unless of course, they actually come up with some legit science.

Does anyone ask the learners what they'd like, or are they too young to know the difference between Darwin and Jesus, Santa and God?

I don't think they ask the learners what they would like in; English, Math or science, do they.

Religion is a part of our social history and I don't think it is a bad idea to teach students about the history of religions.

In England, they get to learn about Evolution and the Big Bang in high school, and can choose their subjects in college.

They get a pretty rounded religious instruction in England, in High School -- but nothing quite as diverse as Rudolph Steiner schools.

Are you talking about Scotland? O.P.

At college everywhere, you get to choose your classes, besides the foundational courses you need for your degree. Even in high school, you get to choose some of your classes.

What a student doesn't get to choose are the courses that are mandatory, or even the content of the courses they choose.

Classic creationist quote mining. The dishonesty never ceases to amaze me.

I preferred it when I was amazed by the dishonest, irrational, bellicose antics instead of encountering them so often I've just become jaded.
