There's some non-toxic(supposedly) stuff
called goo-gone that might help clean that stickiness up .....
Do a re-read to what you replied to.Am I correct in assuming it would be idolatrous to discount miracles when a scientific explanation using natural processes can describe the event but it would not comport with the literal language of the bible, but it would not be idolatrous to simply assume that the words of the Bible are literally true even when the evidence is not in support of the claim?
Hmmm, there's a logic error in there somewhere. Yeah, it's the first sentence there. If science can't explain it they may agree something happened (assuming there is evidence for it) but they may withhold judgement of how it occurred in order to explain it later.
Scientists wouldn't "disprove" Jesus' walking on water by saying they can't find a footprint in water. No, the way science works is to start off with a null hypothesis: "Jesus didn't walk on water" and test against that.
Now of course they wouldn't look for footprints on water since that is patently absurd. BUT they might look for what Jesus was described as being: fully human (we'll ignore the fact that he is also fully God for the time being). Being fully human he would have mass and density. Since most humans are incapable of walking on water (owing to a mass too large to be supported by water's surface tension) and a density that likely made floating at the surface unlikely we will assume for now that he didn't walk on water (I fail to reject the null hypothesis).
If I reject the null hypothesis but have no reason to do so I am making an irrational choice.
So true!In the Last Days people will turn science into an idol - and dictate it is what all are to bow down to and follow - exalting Scientism and Humanism before the masses.
I wonder what influence Satan had in the writing of scripture that causes people to dismiss the facts of science and vilify scientist? What exposure do you really fear?Do a re-read to what you replied to.
Science has become an idol. Many have bowed down and made it their Lord. For them it is their guiding source for truth. It is what they are led by.
Meanwhile miracles (what God does to the earth) have happened since the Beginning of Creation.
Miracles are not natural processes or events, rather they are a display of Power that supercedes the natural.
People who solely turn to science for answers about this Creation acquire only natural knowledge. They become void of Knowledge and Power from Above, and often try to explain the history of God's miracles, as presented in the Bible, through natural realm processes and principles. Science becomes an idol in their heart, it's what leads and guides them to state what is truth and how things are.
A glimpse of Higher Life by firsthand receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, however, changes how people can "know", and changes the price tags on the things people seek, obtain, and know. Big time change. And big time realization of what has extreme value. Up, above, and beyond what they have ever possessed. The value of the new gain is astronomical.

Change in price tags are His doing through the Holy Spirit. And those who wake up to Him working within obtain astronomical gain - in comparison to what science can bring into ones possesion.
Requiring everything one encounters to be scientifically proven is a false filter and foundation. It is an idolatrous way of thinking that eventually leads one to Spiritual Poverty.

Poverty of what is Above is what most Earthly-minded scientists possess. Void of the Life and Knowledge the Holy Spirit brings. What is flesh cannot produce or derive what is Spirit and of substance Spiritual.

None.I wonder what influence Satan had in the writing of scripture ...
“Holy men of God” put the Son of God through a trumped up trial based on “fake news” and had him put to death! Oh but gasp!!! The mere thought that these holy men could have ever written anything inaccurate in the “sacred scriptures”....None.
Holy men of God wrote the Scriptures.
Why do you think educatees question It?
"Holy" and "academia" have been wedged so far apart today, they look like a dichotomy to someone standing in the middle.
"Unholy" and "academia" are almost synonymous.
No, they didn't.“Holy men of God” put the Son of God through a trumped up trial based on “fake news” and had him put to death!

Colter is a Urantian. We have Holy men, and so-called holy men, and Holy men are not what so-called holy men are...not by a long shot.
Nice reply.None.

Seems pretty sternly bound to it.Colter is a Urantian.
At least this thread was only started last year. You're sometimes prone to necroing threads that are as old as Noah's Ark itself.
Yes, I have been born of the spirt and baptized in the Jordan river. I'm am from the religions of authority which appeal mainly to the mind. I've always known from the time I was a child that the story of Noah's flood is simply untenable. As an adult I learned that the Hebrew priest who wrote their exaggerated history were attempting to trace their blood lines back to Noah. Unable to do so they decided to drown the whole world in its own wickedness to fill in the gap.Seems pretty sternly bound to it.
Colter, have you been born from above, experiencing Power from on High that awakens you to the Spiritual realm in our midst, and a fervent inner draw to select Scriptures in the Bible by the Holy Spirit writing such Scriptures on you heart?
If not, why chose only head knowledge to lead you in what you know about the Bible?
We have Holy men, and so-called holy men, and Holy men are not what so-called holy men are...not by a long shot.
The way you worded that was that one who is supposed to be a Holy man is as likely as not to be a fake, and that is not a fact.
Anyway, the scriptures validity are far from dependent on men, holy or otherwise. Surely you know a God as powerful as ours is capable of getting his word to us, and in a form it is not fouled up with possibilities of whether it's true or not.
He is not a God of confusion, and I personally don't see how anyone could believe a wish washy/mistake ridden Bible. Nor would I believe one could claim it foulable, so they can interject their own "truths" into it, and not know they are changing the word of God.
We all are aware to the warnings on changing the word of God, and those warnings tell me the word is true in it's entirety, otherwise what a messed up situation it would be to try to sort out what we should believe and what we shouldn't. There would be so much confusion, many, if not everyone at one point or another, would put themselves in jeopardy.
Men wrote and rewrote the scriptures leaving errors within them which should be expected. The false doctrine of the inspiration of the scripture is a form of fetish or idolatry.
Humans aren't perfect, that goes for men of religion. The men who conspired to put Jesus to death were of the highest authority in Judaism. They were moral cowards and quite capable of religious pride. I agree with Jesus, their father was the devil!
