...and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

If you had watched the whole video; I'm seriously wondering why you are bringing this up.

For the record, the Scriptures do not say that the ark came to rest on the day that the waters were at their peak.

(CLV) Gn 8:3
The waters were returning off the earth, going- and returning, and at the end of a hundred fifty days the waters were abating.

I'll just go with scripture.

Your teachers express that they have no denominational attachments and so it is my guess that these are men, without the wisdom that comes from God

I'm not big on guesses. Do you have any facts?

Hi @HARK!

They said it. You heard it; and they gave it to you in writing:

(CLV) Gn 7:24
The waters had the mastery over the earth for a hundred fifty days.

Yes, that's exactly what the Scriptures say, however, depending on the translation, 'mastery' isn't really a good translation. 'Flooded' is the right word and 'flooded is exactly what the earth was, but it wasn't flooded to the peak. Like I say, I mean, you want to go Scripture to Scripture, here you are:

Now the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens had been closed, and the rain had stopped falling from the sky.
3 The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down,
4 and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

It specifically says, no matter the translation that you read, the waters had already started to recede from the earth before the ark came to rest. Cut that however you like. These guys don't have a clue what they're talking about. How diligent can you be that you make a claim that is immediately debunked by the Scriptures themselves in the verse immediately preceding their claim?

As I say, you're welcome to believe what you will, and I'm not saying that the OP's video is correct either, but it's certainly more grounded in the 'facts' given in the Scriptures.

God bless,
Ted

Well, I do if you consider the Scriptures to be factual. You can read it for yourself. You don't have to guess what the Scriptures say. I certainly try not to.

God bless,
Ted

Considering that the concrete expression of גבר means warrior or master; and the action form means prevail; I think that is a very nice translation into English.

Where does scripture say that the members of The God Culture are without the wisdom of YHWH?

Book, chapter, verse, please.

3 The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down,
...And just three verses up it said this.:

(CLV) Gn 7:24
The waters had the mastery over the earth for a hundred fifty days.

You see that the waters didn't recede until the end of the 150th day. You see, the waters reached their peak before they started receding.
