Now I want to tell you the neatest little story, which happened to me just last night.
In our family we have lots of kids and lots of animals--we always figured the more the merrier. Anyway, we have three cats who all sleep indoors but will occasionally go outside to play for a few hours during the day. Our bed is a great, big queen-sized wooden bed, with lots of plants and candles and a comfy quilt--so naturally all three of the cats sleep on our bed in a furry, fuzzy kitty-heap.
Last night I had worked 3 extra hours and I was tired, so when I was done with work I thought I'd unwind by crocheting for a bit. I crochet with thread (like to make lace collars) and with yarn, and last night I was crocheting with yarn. Usually all the cats will pounce, attack and play with the yarn while I crochet and I find that enjoyable. Not last night. Last night they were just TOOOOOO tired to move...so all three cats came to climb into my lap while I crocheted: one cat RIGHT under my nose, one close on my lap, and one all sprawled out as only cat's can do across my legs. I thought, "I'll wait a moment and let them enjoy my company on the bed--surely they won't stay."
I was wrong. All three of them stayed--including me in their kitty-heap.Isn't that just warm???

Softie ...
Don't it attact all manner of 'critters' though
Can I ask a dumb question too ...Since we discovered that USA isn't India some time back , why is NDN accepted ? A Concession to wrong tradition ?
This is my personal opinion. I think that most people can not spell indigenous
(which would probably be a more accurate and acceptable name) and thus, we choose to accept the abbreviation NDN.
LOLOL ... I' m very afraid that you may be rightI PERSONALLY think that names are important,
That is a seriously awesomely good name, full of wisdom ...and I like the Sioux name, "The People." I know exactly what that means, and believe others who are part of "The People" also know what that means.
The BROADER the BETTER I sayHowever, that name is a bit broad for some, so once again...we choose to accept the abbreviation NDN.
Moriah, ...The other day when I was asking if you wanted to be my friend, I was praying for you and it was like the Lord showed me a picture of you--He said not to be afraid of you--he showed me a person who was lonely and who had a lots and lots of love to give.
I felt a special empathy for you; because I have been there myself before, in fact, I was in isolation years ago and wouldn't go outside the house.

Dear stranger, you have brought a happy tear to my eye. I have not had a good evening, and when I saw your post, I felt happy and accepted and needed.I would like all in the circle to pray for Moraih, because of her love which can move mountains , and she so very much needs your deepest love and prayers at this time
This circle is very much about inviting in lonely people that the world does not have time to love in its foolish haste to end itself....
please Circle join with my prayers for Moriah at this very crucial time and show her we stand for love, above all things ...
Will you brave one share with us ,if you wish , the cause of your loneliness and how you overcame it , for it is a particularly good time for this story of the conquest by love to be expressed as a beacon to the Circle ....

I really was praying for Moriah that day...and the Lord really did show me a lovely person. Not that I could see how she looks on the outside...but He showed me her spirit, which was both broken and beautiful. The bible says we must be broken for Him to heal us. So broken is good.
I love you, Moriah.
Here is my story:
...
I love each one of you. .
