CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Paschal hymn begins, "Christ is Risen from the dead!"
The Creed states, "and He was Crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried. And the third day He rose again."
We do, however have a church in Jerusalem built around what was His tomb.

Who in the world gave you that idea? The Church has taught Christ resurrected, sitting at the right hand of the Father in the flesh for nearly 2,000 years.

Where did you get that idea from? If you read the services last night, we are all about the Resurrection. Pascha is the one great feast of the Church and without it none of the other feasts mean anything!

No Amanda, as others hve made clear, that does not resemble anything close to Orthodox teaching. I was in Church last night from 11:00 pm until 3:00 am, celebrating Christ's Ressurection! I understand some Orthodox celebrated until nearly 6:00 am!!!
No, Christ Risen is absolutely the single-most central teaching for the Orthodox!
