No religion now....

Just a few seconds ago, I posted that I was Wiccan somewhere in this deep, dark world.

Just a few seconds ago, I stumbled onto a website that was made from a Wiccan that was entirely against the Laws we abide be.

Just a few seconds ago, I showed the page to a friend, who defended it because "most Wiccans take those stupid laws too seriously anyways".

Just a few seconds ago, I lost my religion... again.

Now, I have to know... is there a religion out there that I can actually believe in? Is there one that will never disappoint me with it's hidden messages and meanings?

Did you know that I never knew about the 161 laws of Wiccan? Especially the one that claims you're not supposed to claim Wiccan as a religion?

So now, I'm not sure what to believe. I know I'm not Pagan anymore, at least as far as Wiccan goes, but what else is there?


I realize only Christians will respond, so if you could provide me with links to doctrine in all churches, not just yours and not just Christians (I'm still unsure about Christianity, too), then it will be greatly appreciated.

Maybe even a few personality quizes (sounds immature, but they really do work!).

Someone asked why I am doing this? Well, because the last two religions I did my own research on didn't exactly work out. Maybe I'd have better luck if it's recommended or something.

Purchase a Catholic Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It would be eisier to just get the books than to try and read them on a computer. A local Catholic Church might be able to give you copies.

Dear friend, you will find a lot of good support here. After being here for well over a year, I can vouch that there are a lot of genuine, faithful, compassionate Christians who will be happy to pray for and with you, answer questions, and offer support and Christian love.

The first doctrine of Christianity is that the Bible is God's word. It tells all about Jesus's sacrifice and His divinity. Denominations rise and fall, grow close to the Lord and slip away. The only real way to know what the truth is, and which ones are true, is through reading scripture. Then you'll know what the good denomination is. Whatever your circumstance, the one thing you want religion to be, is the truth. You will find it in the word of God. I recommend joining a good church that faithfully abides by scripture and has the Holy Spirit working in its members: a church that will welcome you with open arms and help you get through this.

Many blessings to you, and of course feel free to ask questions or request prayer. I know I'm not alone in praying for you. I pray that we will soon be able to welcome you into the family of Christ.

Maybe it is time you came home, as I did. I will be baptized and confirmed this Easter! I am happy, at peace, and filled with joy ! I have no desire to look any further. I have found my way. The fullness of faith, that you seek, can be found at the Catholic church. May God bless you!

Hiya , Buy a bible (I like the new international verson) or you can just look on the internet for a online bible and read the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and that should give you a really good idea of what Jesus is about...and Christianity is about Jesus! If you try to find any satisfaction in a certain "religion", chances are, it's not gonna fill that empty whole in your heart or answer the question "why are we here". I think what you(and everybody else) needs is a relationship with your creator and King. What fills my heart over and over is the fact that I have a heavenly Father who loves me with a never ending love, who has a Son who was willing to DIE so I could LIVE eternally, who longs for the day when we can live with him forever. Get your hands on his word.... you'll need to stick at it though, and search for TRUTH! If there's one thing that doesn't sound right or hitting home within your spirit, then it's not truth.

Um, thanks guys. After more extensive research (*eyelids feel heavy*), I've found that there are a few religions I could be compatible with that my heart seems to find to be true too.

This crossroads you're at can be a very difficult time. And like most things, but on a much grander scale, it will impact your future. What seems to be true and what is true can be two very different things. Ever so important to have that sorted out, to give it careful thought.
