  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just went to celebrate a friends 30 birthday.
she's single and happy about it. with us at the party there where about 4 or 5 other singles (we were a group of about 12 including her parents) and as I now think back, the topic of singlehood never once came up.
it's just normal and we enjoy our lives how it is!

wish you would do the same!

Yet not everybody is called to a life like that. I have found that when you do not follow your calling life is pretty miserable. I am not just speaking of relationships, but life in general. Jobs or careers for example is a prime area where if we are following God's will He will indeed bless us.

I do exactly that too, Soda. The only time I seem to 'dwell' on singleness is when I'm with my mum. She is also single and apparently REALLY doesn't want to be. But...in all fairness to her, we always 'dwell' on my weight problem too and how it's related to being single....but....'there are men who love big, beautiful women.' Uh...yeah....I'm not 'big' or beautiful. Just chubby and ugly. duh!!!!

Anyway.....I ENJOY being single. I just wish I knew more single people in my own age group who had some of the same interests. Impossible where I live. :-(
