That I do not believe...it is well accepted in the Christian world that John...the disciple Jesus loved...wrote the Gospel of John, I, II, III John and Revelation. These are inspired books as all are and writings mature as an author matures...so many factors to consider...why cast your lot in with the skeptics?
It's pretty obvious there are different authors, so no point in agreeing just because everyone else is doing it. Good intentions pave the road to hell and all that.

No need to get testy...especially here. I simply believe you are one individual of many who are looking into the veracity of Scripture to the degree that cannot be proven. There is much more to learn than authorship and one has to get past that to get to real knowledge and wisdom. You unintentionally can cast doubt on inspiration of Scripture. We know from Scripture itself that epistles were written down at times by another's hand rather than the speaker himself. This fact alone casts doubt as to these Bible expert's theory that upon examination of the text one person cannot be author of two or three different books. You learn this as I said from Scripture itself.
I see a lot of heresy on this board and in this thread alone...these matters could be cleared up by Scripture reading alone. There is simply too much to address at times and one must also be careful not to get involved in endless arguments as Timothy states.
