  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Now what kind of Teletubby watching, artistically challenged Democrat in Frankfort designed this goofy thing? A smiley face? What's that all about? You mean I gotta put one of these on my truck!?
The Quote is not mine, but I when I saw this I just had to go "Tee Hee"

Sorry, this has nothing to do with Catholicism. But this is what happens when OBOB is slow.:D

That quote's great. We don't like the smiley face, either. :)

There's several places that sell frowny-face stickers to put over it. It's technically illegal to put anything on the plate, but so many people have complained that they're not going to do anything about it, as long as the numbers aren't covered.

They re-design the new plates every few years - the next one has been moved up to, I think, next year.

I just had a fun time imagining big burly men having to actually put these plates on their trucks. It struck a giggle bone in me.
That's why registrations of specialty plates are way up. :)

I'm sure it's pretty old news to everybody, but I guess I never saw a Kentucky plate before, b/c I know I would have noticed it :).
We used to have nice ones. The ones before the smiley face were colourful with an outline of the state on it, and before that, they had horses and the Twin Spires at Churchill Downs. Now we get smiley faces. One more thing to blame the Democrats for. :)

I live in Kentucky and I actually bought a car to match that tag lol jk. But I did hate putting it on my truck. there is actually an alternative tag that you can get for trucks that is plain. i opted for that one while I had my truck but unfornatly now that I have a car they wont let me use the old plain ones. :(

I guess ill just shell out the cash to get a custom tag lol pray for me! ^_^ ;)

Apparently some Teletubby watching, artistically challenged Democrat in Frankfort. :)

We had a Democratic governor at the time. Let's blame him. :)

Well... why it certainly isn't what I would love to put on my car, I can't imagine feeling so bad about it that I'ld pay extra to put a special plate on. It's indeed... way too cute, like... Disney in fastforward. But it's just a plate for a car. It's there so your car can be identified, and show it's registered. Can't imagine paying even ten dollars more to have another plate.

I agree - I don't like the plate, since it's way too cute, but I don't want to bother paying extra and filling out the paperwork for a special plate.

And you can always buy a sticker to cover up the smiley face. :)

UGH! These plates are horrible. I payed extra for a wildlife plate so I wouldn't have that Saturday Morning Reject thing on my car.

When this plate first came out, the biggest paper in the state held a contest to find the best alternate slogan for it. I don't remember what won, but the runner-up was "Kentucky: As dumb as you think we are." I think that would look great on the smiley plate.
