CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does it bother you that Katie Holmes played your girlfriend in the first batman movie but Maggie gyllenhaal played her in the second movie, but in the end of the third one you ended up with Anne Hathaway?

Kinda, it woulda been nice for her to be the same actress from one movie to the next - but considering the character was going to/had to die, it doesn't bother me too much. And Anne Hathaway as Catwoman ftw.

Oh I definitely do. 10/David Tennant is my Doctor, but I do love 11/Matt Smith in a close second, followed by 9/Christopher Eccleston. Don't get me wrong, I loved Eccleston/9th Doctor - but both 10 and 11 had more time to grow on me. I do miss 9 though. No one hated the Daleks like 9.

Let me see... What is the CA-NDP party? I'm from the US and never heard of it. What does it stand for and why do you pick it?

The NDP party is the New Democratic Party of Canada, which was birthed out of a baptist minister named Tommy Douglas which among other things brought roads to the province of Saskatchewan and free health care to our country.
The NDP of today is technically the most 'left' party of three main political parties in Canada (the Progressive Conservatives (our current majority government) and the Liberal Party being the others).
I'm not a card-carrying NDP member or anything like that (I've actually voted for all three parties). Heck, I agree with the PC's on a number of points - but the reason I tend to side with the NDP is that they aim to help people from a street level and move up from there - they want to implement more job fairs (which is needed), create more shelters (which is very needed), and support food banks more (which I work in - we've been in a recession for years, and we're only seeing more of a need for them now).
Now there are totally areas I don't agree with them on, but at the moment they are the party who has my vote.
What's kinda frustrating is when people here say 'the conservative/PC vote is the Christian vote' - which is just, no, lol. But that's a different convo for a dif time.
