No more name change debates

Anyone that can keep up with this thread and still understand what's going on is clearly confused.

It's threads like this that make me wonder if displaying an MJ faith badge is in the best interest of Yeshua's best interests.

Why wouldn't it be though? That's an honest question. I've heard some say that we shouldn't even call ourselves Christian for fear of offending others, but even Scripture says all who live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. MJ, Catholic, Protestant, Lutheran, all "labels" given to different doctrines could possibly cause someone offense, but it shouldn't be the name one is looking at anyway.

Seeing as I was the one who said I don't understand, I feel I should clarify. Since I have been on the forums, I have visited all of the congregational subforums, because I don't have a name for my beliefs. What I don't understand is why posters consistently come here, moreso than other congregations, to debate and attack the beliefs of Messaianics. Why is that? Frankly, although I am not MJ, I understand the background of their doctrine, and I also believe they have a valid basis in Scripture FOR their doctrine. So do Catholics, so also do Protestants, etc.

It is one thing to go up to GT and have a debate about doctrinal differences, but its a different thing entirely to go into a subforum that is specifically designed for people who DO believe in a doctrine and bash it. Bashing the doctrine bashes the believer. I know that sounds harsh, but its true.

It has been explained in very simple terms - people are coming in here and insisting we are not real MJs and so our forum name should be changed. We've even had people challenge the legality of using the name! That is obviously causing problems (a number of threads have been hijacked for this purpose) and so the request, backed by a number of regular posters, has been to ban such attacks on our use of the name.

What is confusing about that?
