That would prove nothing. He was also recognized as being very talented. One does not get the sort of position that he had on the Beagle unless others recognized his talent. And people are still amazed at today at how accurate he was, with the limited evidence available.

There are always people that will try to tear other great people down. If those people that accuse him of being a "dim bulb" did not make similar contributions to science the odds are that they were just jealous and they were expressing sour grapes.

And you insult your own God by claiming that the Bible is "God's word". Take an unbiased look at the many errors, the failed prophecies, the bad morals that the Bible has.

They would prove they no longer needed God. They made fools out of

Why should anyone believe in a God? please give me one good reason.

Darwin wrote a book about the things he had discovered himself by using his brain, the brain he thought his God had given him.
Hell was designed to frighten people into believing in a God, and it has worked for a long long time, that time however is slowly coming to an end especially in Europe and even in America, it's not the ToE that is killing religion it's education.

No, there is "knowing" involved. Instead, there is a "fitness test". In biology, this fitness test is the struggle to survive and reproduce. Those who manage to reproduce have past the test and spread their genes. The others don't.

In genetic algoritms, the exact same principle applies... There is some kind of test and then the best performers are selected to form breeding pairs and give rise to the next generation.

What is actually happening is that the computers are faster than
man as far as mapping circuits. Therefore the faster the computer,
the faster it can map the next generations.

Obviously... it would be kind of pointless to have computers optimise things with GA's, if those GA's would take millions of years to come up with a solution....

Nonsense. It only forces denial of literal inerrancy, which is not enough to send anyone to hell.

If you are looking for a scientific theory to blame for the decline of religion, try the germ theory of disease.

Consider, that at the beginning of the 19th century, medical practice was what it had been for millennia: ignorant, brutal and largely ineffective. When you got sick you were more likely to call for a priest than a physician; your life was in God's hands. By the end of the century medicine had become almost what it is today. Anesthetics, antiseptic surgery, the x-ray vaccinations, and so on. When you got sick you put your life in the hands of science, not God. The theory of evolution was controversial amongst theologians, but it made little difference in the lives of ordinary people. They cracked a few jokes about monkey's uncles and got on with it. It was modern medicine which is largely to blame for people coming to believe that they didn't need God any more.

No, there aren't plenty of apologetic sites that can deal with the biblical contradictions, morality issues, etc. What is available online are generally sites managed by self-styled apologists who have a very limited, if many, real knowledge of science, Scripture, or theology.
