3 Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross. 2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ. 3 How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? 4 Have you experienced[a] so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it? 5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. 6 In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”[b] 7 The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God. 8 What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would make the Gentiles right in his sight because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.”[c] 9 So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith. 10 But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.”[d] 11 So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”[e]12 This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.”[f] 13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”[g] 14 Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised[h] Holy Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:1-14

The chief example of good works produced by unfeigned faith is to help those in need:

James 2:15-16 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

1 John 3:17-18 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Imagine if instead of using all of the wealth God gives to us, to help others in need, instead of, using it on ourselves, for our new phones, and new tvs, and shiny new cars, and big houses, and gluttonous meals, and fancy clothes; and all these worldly things that fill the eyes with lust of the world? Things that have no profit? God forgive us for our selfishness and lukewarm compassion, and give us the zeal to do good works.

No worries!! God is just and no man will be judged unfairly!!! God knows each man's heart and their thoughts even before they can think them. The question YOU need answer is what about you?? Have you chosen to become a believer? Have you confessed and repented of sin and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior??

Galatians 3:1-14

The Bible speaks about our salvation in the past, present, and future tense (Ephesians 2:5, Philippians 2:12, Romans 5:9-10), so our salvation in all encompassing in that we have been saved from the penalty of our sins, we are being saved from continuing to sin, and we will be saved from God's wrath on the day of the Lord. According to Ephesians 2:8-10, we have been saved in the past tense not by doing good works, but for the purpose of doing good works in the present tense. According to Titus 2:11-14, our salvation involves having been saved from the penalty of our sins by Jesus giving himself to redeem us from all Lawlessness, but it also involved being saved from continuing to sin by being trained by grace to do what God has revealed to be godly, righteous, and good, and to renounce doing what God has revealed to be ungodly and sinful. So we are not to do good works in order to become saved from the penalty of sin, but because we have been, are being, and will be saved.

Whenever we buy something, we are helping people in need by helping to provide them with jobs to produce those good are services. Feeding the poor is something that is good because it meets an immediate need, but the best way to lift someone out of poverty is to have a healthy economy where they can find a job.

To whom much is given much is required. God will judge every man based on the knowledge he had. They probably never heard about Jesus but everyone has that still small voice that speaks to them and tells them what is right and wrong.

TBH ima be quite frank with you...the bible says save yourself. Why worry about those people unless you plan on going on a plane and trying to save them or something??? It's pointless.

We have to focus on who we can help, and what God expects us to do. Additionally God finds a way to reach anyone regardless of their circumstances... the bible has plenty of examples of this. You hear stories all the time about people growing up without a bible at all somehow finding God, and people in jail with same thing. Or people from other countries. Don't worry about them, if they have a mind to seek God God will reach them, if not...then yeah. As we see in I believe 2 kings the israelites turned away from God and as a result generations went without knowing him and were deep in corruptness without knowing God. God wanted to of course help but... some people who are off in isolated places wouldn't accept God anyway. Some people in other areas where christianity isn't a thing is so deep in whatever they believe that they wouldn't turn to God anyway which is why some stay unlearned, we see this plenty of times in the OT as well.

prophecykid said it best.

Romans 2:12

New International Version
All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

All who act thus, of every nation, age, and description, must be reminded that the judgment of God will be according to their real character, if they are not saved by Jesus' atonement

Oh yes! I choose to obey Jesus and to be baptized after I chose to become a believer and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
Be baptizes because you have been saved NOT to be saved!
We need to read ""all"" of God's Word to gain understanding of what Jesus teachings are!!

The "problem" with that approach is that no one is capable of being good enough to merit salvation. It is only through the graciousness of God that anyone can be saved.

While we can say--and several posters here seem to have taken this approach to the matter--that God will judge everyone, some on account of their faith, but those who hadn't heard the Gospel on account of how they lived their lives...

the fact is that perfection is what is required in order to merit salvation on one's own, not just being kindly or modest, etc. most of the time. ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, even those who do so less often or flagrantly than most other people.

IF, theoretically speaking, you were to keep the commandments perfectly and throughout your life, you could stand before God and say that you deserved heaven. Except that no one CAN honestly say that. Not even those people who seem like the most generous and charitable and fairminded people we could ever hope to meet.

This is why God sent a Savior in the person of his divine Son.

Good works can't save you, but you can be led to faith by good works. A man I talked to who was an unbeliever "tried" Jesus words, give and you shall receive. I won't be too personal now, but I can say he got back a lot more than he had given. It lead him to faith, and he is a Christian still today.

That would be like Ghandi who acted according to Jesus' words. Altho he didn't claim to be a Christian.

Yes his was more wof based
I can't comment on that, but his story was about a person who was actually converted to Christianity, whereas Gandhi, for everything else that could be said about him, did not convert to Christianity.
