No Empty Claims Thread

Debate anything in regards to creation and evolution, with 1 rule: no empty claims. All claims must be backed by evidence, and while links are always good, links alone are not valid, because that just shows you know how to copy and paste, not that you actually understand anything in that link or even read it. If you are going to claim evolution is incorrect, there better be something to back up that claim, otherwise I advize that everyone ignore your post as if it doesn't exist. Which might as well be the case, given how little such empty claims matter.

I claim the fossil record is so small, that if you were to photograph every single fossil we have in our possession, make an FPS book out of the photographs, then fan through it, it would scream: INSTANT CREATION!

You can't visualize an FPS book consisting of the fossil record?

Is the fossil record daisy-chained in a museum somewhere, or are there gaps between the fossils sufficiently small enough that you can go from cyanobacteria to man by fanning at 120 f.p.s.?

If the latter is true, then I'd say you have one doosey of a thick book!

More than 1 book, now, provide reasoning as to why we would need any fossils, let along fossils for every transitional species, to demonstrate that evolution was valid.

120 fps? Were you concerned that a more typical frame rate of 24-60 fps would not be as 'instant' as you like?

The Smithsonian alone has over 40 million fossils in its collection. At 120 fps, it would take roughly 8 months of constant flipping to get through. I wont guess at how many fossils we have in all, but it wouldn't exactly scream instant creation.
