This was a concieved untruth by KJV Only Advocates. KJV Only advocates attack many scholars that do not agree with them. Gail Riplinger's Book New Age Versions is a good example of shoddy scholarship. When I was a seminary Student and checked out many of her references to Westcott and Hort. When I went to the original docements it no where resembled what Gail Riplinger claims they said. In many of MS Riplinger's footnotes when you go to the original documents there was nothing in those documents to back up what she said various persons said.

I don't know why anyone would want to be a [you pick a translation] only. (BTW, not edited.) Whether it's KJV, NIV, or JayJay77V, we can't say "dude, it's the only one that's right. All the others are wrong.

What do you think they do when they translate the Bible to other languages? Yeah, some translate a version to another language, but most compare the original manuscripts to that particalar language. Why do you think it takes so long to translate them?

So, now, is the KJV, NIV, etc, better than the Philipines Version? or the Chinese Version? C'mon. You gotta speak the language of the people. Different language, same message.
