Just want to take a moment and say a big time screw everything about the upcoming Michael Bay produced Ninja Turtles. As a fan, especially of the current comic book run with IDW Comics, it looks insanely awful.

I haven't really seen much about it. What's wrong with it? I also didn't see the last movie. Was that any good?

Speaking of Turtles, why is there no comic book subforum here? They need to start one.

Megan Fox is April O'Neil, Shredder looks like Megatron (and is a white dude), and it looks lame (I just really don't like the look of it). Not saying it needs to be dark and gritty, but if any of the flicks could capture the tone of the first flick from 89 or the 07 cgi one, that's what they need to do.

The 07 cgi one wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

And agreed, I'd love a comic subforum.

ninja turtles as a concept is terrible anyway so its probably fitting

How? Not trying to be a fanboy here, but the basic premise doesn't seem any more lame than most non-human comic-book characters to me.

Also, it's original concept was to be a parody of the gritty comics of the early 80s (what Frank Miller was doing with Dare Devil and Batman for example), where I'd also say it succeeded.
