Another one from my selection. This one is Pilot Mountain in North Carolina. Don't ask me how the mountain got that shape, but with a shape like that it must have always been an easy landmark.

Right now it's sunny and 50°F with not much wind

in Phoenix.

it was 43 degrees this morning and it's supposed to get to 75 today but at the moment I am at work with my coat on and my legs freezing

It's dark here, 6 PM right now, was some sun at 1 PM, I'm working 7 PM to 7 AM, but the heating at work can cope most of the time.

I thought about that and someone from Phoenix posting pics from around here, say the middle of Oxford 5 miles away, or even this village, 50 feet away wouldn't seem odd to me, well 50 feet might, but if it is somewhere famous nearby it makes sense. And the Light railway and bridge is a famous combination, and Organ Stop Pizza is famous.


But when someone emails me up-to-the-minute stuff

And when it seems like they are looking out of the same window as I am looking out...

... I can see the whole area is in the shadow of the mountains with some ugly rain clouds overhead, but when it gets sunny again you'll notice this haze on the inside of you windows I was telling you about...





(that's creepy, but I don't even know if you have any windows, just an inspired guess, and a look at a Phoenix webcam for the sky)

pretty pictures, they said on the local news that the snow out your way wasn't just in the mtns. I guess it will melt pretty quick. We are to get almost a foot here Sat. night.

Well sometimes they just don't play well together. I think the cactus is jealous because the mountain is much bigger than the cactus so...you know.....they're cacti, they can't be expected to be perfect with all those prickly things all over their bodies.
