Agreed. It was a mix of anarchists who came up from Seattle (same ones who came up to cause trouble at the Olympics, and are known to police) mixed with drunken idiots who joined in. Canucks fans are totally disgusted with that behaviour. And it was the fans that stayed up all night cleaning up the streets after the police cleared out the crowds.Hey, it's a few bad apples. I'm in Vancouver, and everyone I was with thought the rioting was horrific. It's not Canada that needs to stay classy, it's idiots who do.
Wow, whoa, wait a minute, eh. Before you go besmirching Seattle and America by extension, were you out there interviewing all those people to see where they're from? That's a load of crap to say that some of them were from Seattle. What does Seattle care about hockey? Who's their team? No self-respecting American would be donning a Canucks sweater and that's what I saw jumping up and down on and smashing an upside-down car. Unless you've got the evidence that it was Americans, back off, eh.Agreed. It was a mix of anarchists who came up from Seattle (same ones who came up to cause trouble at the Olympics, and are known to police)
BOSTON!!!!!!!!
Doesn't matter who the Canucks were playin', I'm just glad Vancouver (and Canada) lost!!! To let a Canadian team beat an American team in the Stanley Cup (or in anything for that matter) would be wrong.
And ain't it classy right now how the Vancouver fans are booing the presentation of Lord Stanley's Cup? Somethin' to be proud of, Canada. Very classy.
Way to go Bruins!!
NJ DEVILS in 2012!!!!!!!!

Um, I never said I blame Americans. That's where the anarchists came from. At least that's what the police are saying based on who they arrested. I quite love Americans, and have lovely friends in Seattle who I miss greatly. I personally would not blame your whole country for the actions of a few. Maybe that's something you could try some time.Wow, whoa, wait a minute, eh. Huh? I won. Not my team but my country. That's what it came down to for a lot of us.Ladies and gentlemen, above we see an example of what NOT winning graciously looks like.![]()
I do care what you have to say. But not Canada as a whole. I mean, come on, it's Canada. I have nothin' against you. So who'm I guilty of flaming? I'm certainly not flaming any individual, just a country. It's Canada.Interesting how (apparently) it's OK for you to say that "To let a Canadian team beat an American team in the Stanley Cup (or in anything for that matter) would be wrong.". Yet if you said "To let a Israeli team beat an American team in the <insert sport of choice here> would be wrong." or "To let a German team beat an American team in the <insert sport of choice here> would be wrong." you'd probably get a warning for flaming. Ah, but I'm just a Canadian, so who cares what I say, right?![]()
That's not the impression I got or the guys on ESPN got. As Bettman started his presentation of the Cup, them boooo's were LOUD. Not sure why the fans at the former GM Place would have anything against Bettman. Sure sounded like they were quite displeased that the Cup wasn't going to them on their home ice. Not sayin' I'm right, just goin' strictly by the evidence . . . plus the impartial announcers for the game broadcast on TV never clarified one way or the other.BTW, the fans did stay and cheer for Boston as they hoisted the cup. They weren't booing the presentation, they were booing Bettman.
Something was misunderstood. No big whoop.Um, I never said I blame Americans . . . I personally would not blame your whole country for the actions of a few.
You don't seem to understand that when you flame a country you flame its citizens. You may think you're just fine to express such prejudice, but I find it offensive.Huh? I won. Not my team but my country. That's what it came down to for a lot of us.

K, well ESPN is American, so that's understandable that they wouldn't understand why Canadian fans would boo him. He feels the same way about Canada as you do, which is offensive. So he gets booed. It's nothing new. That's not the impression I got or the guys on ESPN got. As Bettman started his presentation of the Cup, them boooo's were LOUD. And you seem to be suggesting that Americans couldn't possibly be responsible for such a thing. There may well be people from a number of countries involved. Are you offended by that? Do you think that's impossible because only Canadians could have done such a thing?Something was misunderstood. No big whoop.
No, I didn't accuse you of blaming all Americans but you did say some of the anarchists came up from Seattle. That means they're more than likely Americans so you were blaming those specific Americans (along with the Vancouverites in the mix.)
Ah so you're calling Canadian police liars. Awesome. But before you go sayin' it was Americans who were causin' trouble in your fine city, be sure to back it up with evidence. The police sayin' so ain't good enough.
I've never seen our police act as if they're just out to make Americans look bad. Believe it or not they're professionals and they've got more important things to do.They might just wanna make America look bad, I understand that, to try to protect what reputation the glorious Olympic city might have so perhaps an order came down from the Mayor to deflect some of the blame off of Vancouver. "Blame it on some Americans up from Seattle." I mean come on, without evidence that it was anarchists from Seattle, that's just baloney.
