  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Heh, heh, my wife was pretty calm during delivery, considering the circumstances. The whole labor was about 24 hours, and she didn't want any pain killers. She finally got the meds for the last half since it was taking a long time and the fact that she was induced made her contractions happen right on top of each other and very intense...even though it still took a long time to deliver.

The funny thing is that while I was coaching/waiting on her, in the middle of a painful contraction and push she says "Can I please have that towel over there?" The nursers were like "Wow, she kept her manners saying 'please'!"

:)

Wow!! Wols!!! That would be soooo cool!!!! Both of our next children would be as close in age as Noah and Tommy are! :D ...And we've never even "met" IRL! BTW, has she checked her cervix lately? If she is indeed in the family way again, it should be at least up to her belly button by now. ;) And, it should be kinda in between soft and firm.

Ah, babies. I kind of hope for all you women that are expecting now or are trying, that the surprise that happened to my (now ex) wife and I doesn't happen to you. Although, if I had to do it over again, I would. She got pregnant and did all of the things that she was supposed to do. Went to the doctor regularly, did it all. She had 2 ultrasounds, and I don't remember what all else. Anyway, she goes into labor. She was in labor for over 12 hours, as I recall. Anyway, she finally goes into the delivery room with me right behind her. They get her all set up and Pam was born. The doctor looks at her and says, "Wait a minute. This one is too little for there to be only 1." He checks my wife and says "Yep, there is another one in there". Fifteen minutes later, Heather was born. Twins. To this day, I can't believe it happened that way, considering the ultrasounds and all.

Oh, did I mention what the date was? I didn't? It was December 24, 1980. Christmas Eve. The doctor said something once he found out it was twins that I will never forget. "Merry Christmas, it's twins". Talk about a blessing from God, and on the eve of Jesus' birth to boot.

That was almost 21 years ago. My "babies" are all grown up. My prayer is that all of you "younguns" that are either now pregnant or are thinking of getting pregnant be as blessed as I was, not necessarily with twins, but with the happiness that babies bring.
