CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

NFP charting question...

Okay, I started my 1st chart midcycle and had six temps 96.9 and below before it went above 97. It's been 21 days and 17 are still above 96.9 degrees. I've taken 2 pg tests and both came back positive. :eek: We aren't trying, believe me! lol, but we did kinda oopsie. Since my temp went up I assumed I had ovulated, then I had fertile cervical fluid streaked with blood. I bled/spotted for 7 days, which could be normal since it had only been a month since I went off birth control.

What could this be?

2 BFNs and dropping temps makes it sound like you can rule out pregnancy.

Have you been to the doctor about your cycle this month? If I remember correctly you had some weird bleeding at the same time as high temps. I wish we could meet up and look over your chart together...:scratch: It's hard to know what is going on. (I bet that's how you feel too).

You say that you've just come off hormonal BC, that is a big possiblity when it comes to causes. I've never been on the pill, but I've had some miscarriages and the hormonal cycle can be somewhat similar. My cycle was not 'normal' for 3-4 months after my first miscarriage. I had weird intermittant bleeding, ovulation wasn't predictable by CM (not sure about temps, I've never been organised enough to use temps), cycle length was often huge...etc etc. Another thing I've noticed about my cycles is that stress is a big factor. Normal every day stress really doesn't do too much to me, but if I'm stressed about my cycle it really throws it out of whack. So if you were me - it'd be my concerns about my cycle that'd be keeping those temps high. If you were me, the temps would be high because I hadn't ovulated yet but I had had an LH surge. That is, my body had tried to ovulate and chickened out...then it revs up for a second go. This means I can sometimes have a cycle longer than 50 days.

btw it is recommended that you abstain for your first full cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next) so that you can work out what is normal for you.
