  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wanted my boys to lose that game. First of all, the Pack does not play well after an off week. Better to keep them playing so they don't get rusty. Secondly....to know that the bear fans turned into Packer fans for 3 hours....just to cheer the Pack to a loss so the bears are out....is priceless!!!!

It was actually a win/win for the Pack!!!

^_^

Well, this looks like the last hoorah for Ray Lewis, and Andy Reid is headed for Kansas City!
If you're a Chiefs fan I'm not so sure I'd be as excited about Andy Reid as you seem to be, just my opinion. I love the great Ray Lewis! Ravens should win so this wont be his last game.

PACKERS WIN!!! As I knew they would, ;). The game would've been closer if Ponder played because the back up, well, he wasn't ready...As soon as I heard Ponder was out I knew a Packers win was in the bank. Bad news though, the Pack couldn't move the ball in the second half against a defense that isn't really that good. The 49ers have a great defense. Next week will be very interesting...

Prediction: Green Bay 21 - San Francisco 17.

Hey Metal??? I TOLD you the Pack needed to play today! We needed to show the Viqueens their game last week was a fluke! lol

Defense stepped it up. Return of key injured players was a bonus!

On to San Fran. This one makes me more nervous!!!

GO PACK GO!!

It felt good that the Pack redeemed themselves from last week. Did Adrian Peterson even get 100 yds? I don't think he did!

Go Pack GO!!

Did they keep their first string in, or pull them out to keep everyone healthy?

They kept everyone in. I think they learned their lesson from last year, when McCarthy pulled them in hopes of keeping them healthy, it just made them rusty. This is part of why I was happy they lost the week before....they need to keep playing!

I never count on the Pack winning!! One never knows what team will be hot or not on any given day.

I think the Pack sat back the second half and played more conservatively. They didn't seem to have the same fire and energy they did in the first half. Deliberate or not? Not sure, but next week will be very challenging.

However, I like your prediction!!! :)

Nope, I'm no chiefs fan! (I'm a Giants fan!) I was just reporting the breaking news. As for Ray Lewis, I meant that this season was his last hoorah, I figure they'll win their first game at least.

Ok, nobody else has said it, I will. What is wrong with the league when a talent like RG3, (still in his rookie year right?) is played way past the point of being productive, certainly seems to have lost his mental focus as well as his physical ability, and isn't taken out until he is totally unable to function any longer? When you have a back-up QB that's obviously very competent, and MUCH moreso than RG3 was, for much of that game. It seems like a crime.

OTOH, maybe RG3's knee problem wasn't really leaving him vulnerable to any serious injury? Does anyone here know?

I think it boils down to a coach accepting his players word that he was good to go, and then completely dropping the ball (no pun intended) on pulling him out to protect him. I've watched the replay of when he first got hurt, and I'm 100% sure he did far more damage than a ligament strain. I hear there is also some issue with whether or not RG3 actually had doctors clearance to play. It will be sorted out in the off season I'm sure...

Those Hawks sure looked good to go tonight! The Falcons beat my Colts? How dare they! I hope Seattle murdelizes them ^_^

No seriously, the rest of the playoff ought to be some really good games ...

Oh and about RG3, even w/o concern for protecting him from injury but just from the standpoint of trying to win the game ... let him take a possession or 3 with the score stuck at 14-13 and be ineffective sure, but sooner or later? Ya gotta let the better man play, even if only because he's healthy. RG3 just didn't seem to be mentally able to function. I certainly won't knock him for that, nor will I cite pain killers or any other drug use. Just that much pain, compared to his usual level of play which relies heavily on being an exceptionally smart person could've been enough to take him out of the game figuratively speaking, and a coach that wants to win should be able to notice.

Redskin's defense was awesome though, at least in the red zone
