hello, im new to this site. i joined because i need answers. i went to bed at 3 in the morning last night, i woke at roughly 9:20 but decided to have a little more sleep until 11:15. during this time i had a strange dream. i was on the beach with my brothers dog sky. then suddenly i hear what i can only describe as holy/heavenly music coming from the sky. i have heard the exact sounds before. (youtube search: IReapZz - Oblivion) it was the first two notes/sounds of the video! i turned and looked up to see an orange sky then it kinda changed/turned into what looked like lightning but still orange with white parts that looked like electricity. and there was constant sonic booms. i dont know why but i ran away with the dog. the dog allmost gets ran over as were crossing a road nearby. then i see a woman also with a dog.. i cant remember if was 2 dogs. and we start talking about dogs as if nothing had happened. that is all i remember but thats literally it. i know its not a normal dream as i have never experienced anything like it. i searched it after i woke and ultimately that is why im here. im not a religious person but i was made a christian as a child. i do believe in jesus and know he is real. and i actually never visit the beach. also the dog is called sky.. i thought that was interesting. i would love to hear why this may of happened to me as i felt scared after listening to how a woman on youtube described it with sonic booms just like mine. i had shivers and watery eyes just watching. thankyou for reading.

I'm afraid I'm not going to try and give you any interpretation of your dream, or any such thing. We are taught to be cautious of such things, but that is also because we are taught to seek the Lord deeply and constantly, so being careful with dreams is a way to protect us from possibly going off into serious error.
God can use dreams to speak and to get our attention. But so can the enemy. And most often of all, dreams are the result of the kinds of thoughts we have while awake.
You say you are not a religious person? Then perhaps some part of your mind is leaning toward God, and this kind of dream is a result. God desires everyone to come to repentance and be saved. And whether your dream was a true warning or not, the fact is that sooner or later we will all face the end of our lives, or the end of this age, and we must all give an account of ourselves before God. So if your inclination is to take it as an urging to turn to faith, your action is correct no matter where the dream really came from.

Dream could be indicating that great fiery destruction is scheduled to occur before the earth is made new and the peace and joy of God's Kingdom is restored.

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

i dont know how to turn to god. i dont know how to pray. i have allways liked the idea of praying but i often selfishly do other things with my time instead of appriciating others. i dont even know how to properly express my emotions. also i heard feathers found in strange places can be a sign or message from a loved one. i found one in kitchen sink years ago, and another outside my door (Flat door inside the building) a few months back. and im thankfull for your relplys and guidance!

I doubt it.
But if it were me, I would honestly quit trying to figure out the dream itself. Many people have been led into error that way. If God IS trying to say something to you, He can find a way to make you know.
There are plenty of things we DO know. How to pray is something we learn. Right now, you can just speak to God whatever is on your heart. (You can always do that, but what I mean is don't worry about other things right now if you are not even in the faith.)
Wanting to kill your neighbor? That should be addressed. I don't know if you mean a quick flash of anger at something he did, or an actual plot to murder someone, or something in between.
As far as feathers - I wouldn't get too concerned over that either. It's a nice thought, but loved ones who have died - their souls are awaiting the resurrection, their bodies are in the grave. They can't carry feathers or physically visit us (no bodies). Those are unprofitable things to occupy your mind with at best, and can lead to something potentially dangerous at worst.
Better to just focus on what God has made clear is His will for men - that all should repent and come to faith. And after that, to grow in Christlikeness. There is much to do and learn and be along those lines, and that is clearly God's will, no need for speculation or potential for reading something of error into Him.

That's a very good place to start. Without that foundation, it can be very dangerous to take something as tenuous as a dream and try to find truth from interpreting that.

Perhaps if your dream lead you to think about Jesus(who is God), I think He wants you to start looking/seeking Him. Because if you don't, you will going to Hell and not Heaven. For only through putting our faith in Jesus and His works on the cross and following Him everyday, doing His teachings, His will in our life, will we be saved.

I know a few people who had dreams that led them to find God and the church. God uses dreams to speak to people who know Him and those who dont. I also know people who became Christians as a result of false prophetic dreams. I would suggest you seek to know the Lord better and when you have better foundations to do so see if you think it was of God.
And in the meantime if you come into a relationship with God I doubt you will look back. Matthew 13:44-45 says
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
It sums up becoming a Christian imo.
