  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey, guys. I'm an atheist but I'd like to join this community if you don't mind. I'll be as respectful as I can towards all of your beliefs. I have no qualms with you guys believing in something I don't. I understand some of you might have had some rough experiences with atheists. We're not all hateful or judging towards Christians and I'll do my best to show that. Sorry if this post was cheesy or awkward. I'm new to the whole 'forums' thing. I've never really used one before. :wave:

I was the same way with Christians when I was a nonbeliever.

I do suspect that because you have decided to participate in this forum that you do have an enquiring mind and want to find out whether there is a God or not. So I will be happy to answer any questions you have about it, and I will be non-judgmental in my answers. :)

Thanks. I don't really have any questions I'd like to ask at the moment, but I'll keep you in mind if I have any that really bother me.
