New to christianity from antist I need guidance!

I been listening to a new artist. The irony is that the songs are about being lost and trying to find love. I didn't make the connection till just now. Maybe the salt lamps in my basement and the temperature is just right enough to cause a sort of calm, but since I been reading the bible and pieces of scripture things seem more lively in my house. As if he vibes are going up.

Thanks for sharing that with us. Your fresh eyes remind me of what a beautiful thing I often experience without thinking about it too much. This is part of the Jewish Shalom shabat, the Joy of God, the sense of peace and rest now that things are being set right.

I think I'm going to read the bible from cover to cover. Than go back to what stuck with me so I can read into it more. Although my study here is great, I am more worried about my father. He so far has gotten no help with getting released and I need to find out how I can get support to live with him and be his caretaker round the clock. He is a very smart man. His mind is right. I have no doubt that with the brain I got from him we can piece together something of a great business or way of making money together. That is a whole nother' mess though.

Cool idea. If you're planning on a cover to cover reading it can be very confusing and at times incoherent, this is because the books aren't put together in a chronological order. I would recommend a chronological reading plan like this one: https://www.biblegateway.com/reading-plans/chronological?version=NIV , helps bring context to a lot of it.
The other thing that I would recommend as a start is the Gospels of Luke (as well as Acts) and John, and a good read of Romans or Galatians, so that the perspective of Christ is not lost when you're working through the Old Testament parts.
Hoping and praying that all goes well with your Dad. It's awesome that you're in a position to help like this, so I hope you are honored. All power to you brother.

Be careful with feelings and music, as those are tools satan will use against your search for the truth in Jesus Christ. Test the spirit we are told in the Bible. If it is not according to the Law and the Prophets there is no light in them. (Light being truth)
