  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm sure everyone has seen the new telescope images that were released of galaxies in our universe. I see so many saying this has nothing to do with GOD or that this proves that creationism isn't real. So, my question as a follower of Christ, how do I defend myself here? Also, what are your thoughts as a fellow believer. Many say we aren't alone in the universe, especially with these new images released. How do you defend your faith if new life were to be found? (If In wrong area I apologize)

Faith is evidence of things not seen; it is not the denial of things that are seen.
No need to struggle with this. The heavens declare the glory of God. Simply incorporate this into your faith. Nothing to be afraid of or cause doubt. God did it. And it is all good.

Galaxies billions of lightyears away do not disprove God. The Bible and the redemptive story contained within concerns only Earth and Humankind. Even if life were to be found else where that doesn't disprove God's existance.

Don't let your faith stand on sand, ground yourself in God's word and nothing will shake you.

It hasn't been found ... we don't need to defend anything.

We aren't alone in the universe according to His word.

Did God say we are His only creations, no He did not.

God is real big. You can take pictures of how big God is.
That doesn't detract.
