I actually liked the darker style better, this is a bit too...pinkish for me. Could an option be intalled that allowed us to view the site it one of two different styles?

I agree with Apex, the first thing I looked for was the option to have it in different styles, which I did not find (I know the old one had it). Something to consider after getting some well-earned rest. Thank you for all the hard work you've done.

I just wanted to post to congratulate you on a job well done! I was pleasantly surprised today to see the site looking so good and professional. I was a little worried that I was going to be stuck with the 'dolls' heading ::shudder:: which made me feel like I had accidentally signed onto a preteen RPG site or something. BRAVO!

I dunno... I liked the darker skin. At least the color and shading of it. Wasn't too enamoured about the banner up top though with all the characters in it. It looked a bit cheaply done.
To be honest, I'm not too big on the current one either, but it at least looks more professional.

The main thing here is that the site works on most people's browsers now. Aesthetics aside I think it's a positive change indeed.

First of all..thank you so much for your hard work Erwin, it looks great. Go get some rest!

I'm sure your not done tweaking things so I will refrain from complaining or questioning too much. I found out a long time ago that you can please some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time. You've done an enormous amount of work and deserve peoples gratitude, not complaints.

However, if you truly want to see what peoples opinions are...perhaps someone should make a poll about the different changes. Just a thought.

You're amazing! I liked the new dark look, but was finding it a little hard on my eyes. Then this morning I pop in to see how it's going and here we have this.....so much easier to read. Thank you so much and I never dreamt you'd get it changed over so fast! You are so the man, Erwin!!

I really liked the character theme. It was a nice change. Except for the fonts being all squished. This one is great, but I have to strongly disagree on the banner. The eyes at the top are really giving me the heebie jeebies. I feel like I'm being spied on. And it just doesn't have a comfy feeling of being with family. But I like purplish color and the rest of the interface. Very nice. And Erwin kudos to you for being so dedicated to this and getting this done as fast as you could for thousands of people you have never met. I'm sure the L-rd is smiling upon you for helping us fellowship and bring Glory to Him. Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the current eyes banner is a temporary stock theme Erwin's using to get us posting again.

I liked the characters scene banner as well for the redo - just not the wide, dark side borders.I imagine he's got further plans for customizing the look but is probably about tired of it by this point.

Due to negative feedback on the previous "dark" style with fixed width we were using, I decided to change to a "lighter" style that has a "fluid" width.

Hopefully people like this better.

The font size I think is a function of the actual forum software... mmm... will look into it further.

2 of our webservers are due to have their RAM doubled to cope with the new software. So there will be some downtime scheduled, for about 15 minutes, for this hardware to be installed and servers rebooted. Not sure when this would be to be honest.

It's 1:15 am, and I have been awake for almost 48 hours, so time to sleep!
