This is a first stab at writing a poem, I used to do it a long time ago. It started as a PM to the Mods then it just took off and I think turned out pretty good,well anyway I am kinda proud of it.



God gives to those who need to think, many poem's from which to drink.

Inspiring minds, reluctant change; from Milton & Bunyan, or Dante's flames.

Only scripture reaches higher,it has the weight of God's desire.

Poems are quiet words of simple charm never doing any harm.

A jewell or nugget lying fallow, waiting for the plowman's plow.

So common man may find a treasure that is beyond all earthly measure.

The Spirits moving on our hearts; his graceful glory, there imparts.

Here is a limerick I wrote in grade school. My teacher read only three, mine being the last. The girl it is about sat in front of me, and her name........well... it just seemed interesting to me.

There once was a girl named Lori Heartlow.
One day she went out at -40 below.

She started to freeze right down to her knees.
And all that they found was her toe.

Excitement in the USA

NASA hits the moon "touchdown" the eagle has landed.

All America is in love with its dreams.

Even in the tiny hearts; the childrens faces beam.

Happiness has gone up, like the bulls the bears, Americas cup.

Raise your banners high you see that men can fly.

Oh my wife she pours my coffee with a whistle on her voice.

I'm comfortably numb, and I put my paper down.

I like the way you took my user name and used it in your poem in the form of the scripture, you too my friend are witty, very clever. I would never have thought of that one. I can't wright a peom just yet as I am currently at work, but I will repost one as soon as Im able.


Her tears are silent
dry are her eyes
her tears are inside
a lost soul dying
drying in the wind
thirsty for something
to fill her once again
heal her spirit
quench her thirst
for days are passing
to quick for her
Lead her fast
to the one who saves
to bring her life
and saving grace
thats all she need
but no one cared
death has come

to save her life

Out of the void the Spirit calls, Gods mind, is lonely for one special friend.

Crowded apartment downtown, a party and happy times are had but they forget their God in the good times & petty crimes fast

woman and cool rhymes.

He drives home, in his Bugatti wishing he'd bought a Masaratti thinking about the money he made.

He gave his heart to Jesus a long long time ago but now he just watches the snow turn to rain hes forgot about his pain.

But hes coming up too fast on the bridge in the rain; the ice on the road is going to be his bane.

Going flat out at 60 per he hits the rail thinking of her and a torn metal ball that was his car; yes its just too bad he stopped off

at that bar.

What a poor,poor miserable man:Gods special friend is back. The grave is not the end, so we can thank him; begin.

There ya go my friend I like yours please top that.

Fairytale Life
Some people dance on flower pedals
and the sunshines always on their life
everything is perfect theres no trouble no doubt
their garden is beautiful no weeds to be found
not a thorn to trouble them or dark clouds around
like wings from a fairy they seem to fly
but its merely a fairytale their living a lie

Some people walk a hard path of life
and clouds seem to surround them not a moment goes by
nothing is perfect and they struggle to make it through
their garden is also beautiful but theres a thorn or two
there are weeds to fight through but Jesus is their strength
their trials and tribulations a testimony of true faith
so take off your fairy wings and quite being fake
come join us in the real world so many may be saved.

Love to play cuz its a joyful day we don't need a thing just what the day will bring. Love to be with you without a care whats that thing in your hair here I will remove it.

I like the flow in your poem, it reminds me of one of my favourite poems called Lady of Shalott.

Oh guitar of mine looking at me, when will we be together again sailing the sea. I got you down to a tee. All through the ages there has never been, a more perfect instrument, I knew you when. My guitar is love songs and blues and a rock n roll tune. After a while I will get to croon a little song I wrote, I know it now by heart note for note. Money couldn't buy my guitar.
