well... not all experienced RPG players are grizzled old men and old women. Why don't you try? it'd be fun taking up a good challenge. Besides, extremely good writing quality is not essential, everyone's skill varies.

i think at the end it depends on which plot appeals to you more..

Hunting demons, fighting evil cults, running around with dragons, etc... soooo, what sounds like fun? There's definitely a good mix of newbs and veterans in most of these, I'd say.

Yep! Pick an RPG, make a character and post it to the Character Forum, and jump right in! I can really only speak for Portals of Destruction, though... Lady_Firehawk always welcomes new players. Don't worry if you're not Super-Duper Writer!

that would be the character database where the title of the thread is the name of your character.

if you had questions regarding specific RPGs, it's always good to pm the thread starter personally or post in its ooc thread.

That's it!! You might want to read through a few posts or if it's a long standing storyline, ask the thread-starter for a synopsis. When you find the one you are interested in, I suggest you contact the thread-starter and see about entering a character.
I have a new thread starting up and several ongoing storylines but I can work new characters into the plots just about anytime, all I need is for the new writer to pm me and we work together! So do what Blessed-One suggested and just read through and find which storylines intrigue you! Have fun!
