I just joined this group today after searching the web for a "prayer partner". Have been heavily burdened lately and deeply feel the need for prayer. Also believe I will help others through prayer. Not sure how much time I can devote to this online bit but thought I would give it a try. New to this sort of thing.

Hi DW and Everyone,
My name is Shelley, I live in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. I'm new here also, and have the same problem as DW, I need prayer and someone to bounce questions off of, that sort of thing. I'm not sure how much time I can devote to be online, or even if anyone here would be in, or around my age group. I'm 56 years old., I'm desperately seeking an accountability friend. I need someone who can not only define accountability, but also explain to me where and how Christian friends play a part in helping to provide accountability. Do you or anyone here know about the subject of accountability?I'm a fairly new born again Christian (2005) I'm trying each and everyday to grow in my Christian faith. It is hard. The Lord is telling me I need to become more open and more friendly, but by nature I'm terribly 'guarded'. I need help to open up! I feel God is leading me in this direction. All my life I have been terribly introspective. Lately,I feel God is showing me an actual little box in my heart with a door which has my name on it and asking me to step outside of the box.And become a friend to SOMEONE, and to show much more love to the people in my life, in essence to have much more love in my heart for the entire human race! Have any others here ever experienced God's calling you to be a less selfish, less self absorbed person? I really hope I can find someone whom I can open up to on this board.Seems there are so many people here from all over the world, and of all ages. I just want a Christain online friend! And I also want to offer freindship,and prayer in return!
