I just had a medication switch. Now I am taking Lexapro and Zyprexa. Before I was taking Lexapro, Seroquel and Remeron. So far so good. And I am eating more which was something we were hoping for as I'm very much underweight. At first I couldn't sleep well because Seroquel and REmeron are both sleeping agents. But now it all seems good. I am happy with the switch and I hope it works out.
The only bad thing, and sorry if this is too much information, is that when I get PMS/and during all my symptoms come back for like a week. So I'm thinking either hormones are a big trigger or hormones are causing some kind of Premenstral Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). Does anyone else have this trouble or know anything about this in conjunction w/ bipolar? Does it need to be treated differently than bipolar or is it just a trigger to set off an bipolar episode? My pdoc just treats it like a bipolar episode but so far we have been completely unable to stop it.
