  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well I'm going on holiday for a while so I'll post in about a week...
I'm starting afresh, a new life of following God's will. Any advice?
Plus, when you mess up, how do you assure forgiveness and clear your conscience to do God's will?
Anyway, I believe that after this holiday I will have some very good advice to give...

Yes, Dave, what are you trying to say?

From Webster's online dictionary

Main Entry: venial sin
Function: noun
Date: 14th century

: a sin that is relatively slight or that is committed without full reflection or consent and so according to Thomist theology does not deprive the soul of sanctifying grace

1st Peter 4:8 "ante omnia mutuam in vosmet ipsos caritatem continuam habentes quia caritas operit multitudinem peccatorum"

Er... before everything mutually in eachother have charity continually the habit of which charity removes a multitude of peccadillos.

Isn't that just what I said?

(but this is an advice forum, not a debate forum, and I am only provide the best advice based upon my gloss of the scriptures)

1200. Easter Monday (1st April 2002) . I finally stopped being a 'token Christian' (adapting God's teachings for my own benefit), was cleasened of all my past sins, and have since felt his Holy Spirit with me in an amazing manner, He will be with me and I serving Him for ever. Praise the Lord.
