New James Bond

Holy cow is that guy ugly! I saw his movie Layer Cake and I liked it but isn't James Bond suppossed to be a little bit handsome? Maybe even tall, dark and handsome? Maybe at least one of those three?

Isn't 007 suppossed to be someone that the women want and the guys want to be? Who will be the new Bond girl? Some who can really act if she has to appear taken by that guy. And you men, how many want to be short with floppy ears and a flat rough face?

Not only would I rather watch an aging Pierce Brosnan, I'd rather watch senior citizen Sean Connery reprise the role!

nah, james bond is an a-hole who seems to be charming, but let's not forget he IS a cold-blooded killer.

i don't care who's playing bond (should have been clive owen but too late for that now). i do care that Eva Green is a bond girl. she deserves all the praise she gets for her acting. Dreamers was amazing and most of her scenes were cut from Kingdom of Heaven but she still was amazing in the little time she had on screen.

I'm not really concerned about James Blond himself, more about the direction the Bond franchise seems to be going. It's really sad to hear reports that the Casino Royale scriptwriters have substituted Texas Hold 'Em for the classic Baccarat as the game of choice. Do they really feel like they need to pander to the lowest common denominator?

EDIT: Ok, I am concerned after all. What kind of worthless James Bond can't drive stick?

I don't understand the big deal with Craig not being able to drive stick. He is an actor not a real spy! Good grief, that's the smallest thing in the world to nitpick at.

I think Craig is a great actor, but I just really don't see him as Bond. I would have rather had Brosnan go out with a bang or Clive Owen (unfortunately he did not want the job) but we didn't get them and we have Craig. I'll give him a chance and hope he pulls off the role.

Agreed, when I first saw him, I didn't think "Bond". I'm not firmiliar with his work, but he just doesn't look the Bond type. :\
