Hello, everyone. I was looking for a place to explore my faith more and upon reading around a bit, this place seemed pretty safe
. Right now I am not of any religion or church yet. I was being advised on this, but the person helping me is no longer in my life. I am working toward becoming a christian.
I was born into a catholic family, but around 8 or so I had decided religion was not for me. My parents had split in divorce and that made me feel unhappy and unfaithful. I always felt that god was real, there was never a time when I said different, but my view on god was very much similar to him being a perfect role model. Or someone you should look up to. Suffice to say I didn't think he was controlling my life.
My opinions have changed very recently. I'm a bit older now and I can see things with a greater perspective. I now believe that God does play a role in your life, and everything is part of his plan. Although, much like before, I am having trouble being absolutely in the trust of God. Instead of just throwing my hands in the air and saying "oh well" I'd like to explore this.
That all said, I am here to expand upon where i left off with that person and try to really get into this. Thank you for taking the time to read.
P.S do you guys have any favorite things about living your life with god?
