Orthodox means literally Right praise, worship, or glory - From the Gk. Ortho + doxa.

When capitalized it means the Church founded by Christ. As an adjective, it should be lowercase.

This too shall change , and is really true in Western (esp. US) civilization. In the East, Greece, Russia, Slavic countries etc. Orthodoxy is (demographically) Christianity
