  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello, my brothers and sisters in Christ. There's a question that I have and I would like to know your thoughts from something that I just recently experienced. The other night I was receiving prayer and while receiving prayer, I burst out in tears when the pastor told the spirit of fear to be released from me. It really hit me hard. Being that I just felt this new experience. Can anyone tell me what it means once I started crying?

Thank you for your time and God Bless.

Tears mean many things, but are in general a release, so it's a good thing. I recall a passage that says God saves our tears in a little bottle.

When fear is released, it gives room for God's love.

Thank you for the response. I like that. I've never heard that before of god saving our tears in a little bottle. It felt wonderful to release out though. I really felt the power of what God can do.

Psalms 56:8
You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?

Here is the passage from scripture. I've always really liked this one.

As for your experience, it sounds very powerful. It sounds like God really spoke to your soul and comforted/released you from some of your troubles. Since it was so powerful of an experience it sounds like it is something that has been weighing you down for a long time, and God decided to relieve you from it by pouring his love out on your heart, causing an outburst on your behalf of joy and thankfulness of God's love. Sort of like how Job must have felt after God finished testing him and restored him two-fold for his sufferrings.

Psalms 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

Let's be glad we serve a God who is so willing to relieve us from our troubles. God bless.

Ps 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

One of my favorite passages. It illustrates that God has always cared.
