Forgive me if this is an assumption which is way off, but hasn't the possiblilty always existed for folk who join CF to claim a Christian icon which may not necessarily have reflected their actual stance?

You're not off at all. And lets not forget those who THINK they are saved, who LOOK like they are saved, and ACT like they are saved, but are not. BESIDES - Erwin did not say that if you claim to be Christian you ARE - he said who ever wants to claim to be Christian CAN. I see less Christlike behavior in those who want Christian to be elitist than from those they want to exclude.

The main thing to understand and remember is that Jesus is MY SHEPHERD that He will supply all my needs (Phil. 4:19) and that He knows everything about my life (Ps. 139:3), cares about me (1 Pet. 5:7), has the power for every difficulty (Ps. 62:11), is perfecting me to be like Christ (Phil. 1:6), and that nothing escapes Him (Ps. 147:5), that will lead me to be stable, not anxious living.

you know what - even with putting the obvious malcontents on ignore - which did make this thread much more readable - this thread is just a kvetch-fest. Either you trust God, or you don't. If you don't trust that this change will work out well, there are other sites two of which were started by malcontents from this site who thought things we getting to *gasp* liberal. Christ did not start an exclusivist club when he came and died on the cross. If you want an exculsivist club, CF is not the place for you. I am now unsubscribing from this thread.

Think what will happen when nonbelievers are set into positions of moderator... whose post will be edited or removed when a christian is disagreeing with a nonchristian and, even lovingly, trying to lead them into all truth?

That happens right now, but I guess it's ok if it's chrisitans doing it to non-christians right?

And in the previous rules, it was within the statutes of the forums. If a non-Christian fraudulently registered and assumed a Christian icon in order to dispense non-Christian ideas in an area that was designated for Christians only, then indeed their posts should have been removed, as they never should have been made in the first place.

However, since the new rules have been designed to prevent this sort of thing, then it should not be happening. I doubt it has, as nearly all of the moderators I know have not resumed their moderating duties until we receive clearer guidance regard our new responsibilities.

If a mod did that in spite of the existing moderator protocol, that moderator should have been disciplined or removed.
