new and scared

hi. i'm d and i'm new here as well as a new christian. i'm a bit nervous cause i'm sure i'm the only unmarried mommy here. i'm having a litte girl in april, all alone, and i am so nervous! her daddy left me two days ago, he couldn't take the pressure, so i had to move back home. now i'm unemployed, pregnant, and i'm a high school drop out. last night i talked to my mom's pastor and he's agreed to help me find a job before amandi's born, but i don't think that's gonna happen. i also accepted christ, so that's the only good thing going on in my life. any advice you can give me'd be nice.

as i was posting this my mom's pastor called, the church secretary's leaving in a month cause of her husband's job. she's gonna start training me tomorrow so i can start gettin' some money to take care of my girl.

very much so! today was my first day and i enjoyed it very much. i was surprised i was able to start so soon, but the pastor said the lady's husband was laid off and they have to move as soon as possible, so it may even be less than thirty days since she's already training me.

she fired me for being pregnant and single! she had the pastor call me after i left. but he found me a job sweeping floors at a beauty shop owned by a lady from church. she's letting me start next tuesday and i get to live in the upstairs apartment. it's close to mom's so she's gonna watch my daughter.

Not all christians are as judgemental as this women, thankfully.

The thing you need to keep telling yourself is that you are a new creation in Christ, and that nothing can separate you from his love, you are not under condemnation any more for the things you did before you chose to follow him. He will lead and guide you, and although things dont always work out in the way we think they should, there is a verse that says "all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose" - that means you.
