How about the rest of my post which you decided to ignore?
I did not ignore it. I said if you have no problem to prove that artifacts are a fake that just makes it all the more clear the shroud is not a fake. I have tons of evidence to show the shroud is real. You have produced NOTHING to show that the shroud is not real. I understand that people are going to try to deny the resurrection power of God, but you can not deny the shroud itself. Even if you have no explanation for what power was used to create a photo negative.

"The image on the shroud is much clearer in black-and-white negative than in its natural sepia color, and this negative image was first observed in 1898 on the reverse photographic plate of amateur photographer Secondo Pia, who was allowed to photograph it while it was being exhibited. A variety of methods have been proposed for the formation of the image, but the actual method used has not yet been conclusively identified. Despite numerous investigations and tests, the status of the Shroud of Turin remains murky, and the nature of the image and how it was fixed on the cloth remain puzzling.[16]The shroud continues to be both intensely studied and controversial.[6][17][18]" WIKI

The painting itself doesn't show a human being - the hands over the penis pose is impossible - try it yourself: Lay on your back, place your hands over your genitals, then relax your arms (as if dead) - your arms are too short to cover your genitals. And why would a dead guy cover his penis anyway? Of course, a Gothic artist would cover the penis if this were a piece of art of public (not pubic) display

'I said if you have no problem to prove that artifacts are a fake that just makes it all the more clear the shroud is not a fake.'

I have absolutely no idea what that sentence is supposed to mean.

You're the one claiming it to be real so you have the burden of evidence. All I have seen is assertions from you without any evidence (no youtube videos please).

Scientific tests have been carried out on the shroud which date it to the late 1200s, early 1300s - the exact time when the first recorded appearances of the shroud are from. Funny that nobody mentioned it for well over a thousand years then all of sudden it pops up at exactly the time that it's dated from. Plus it's recently been recreated using materials and techniques available at the time. The shroud is a remarkable object, but I see no reason not to put it with all the thousands of other claimed religious relics from the middle ages which helped to generate tourism and money, like the shroud does to this day.

Really? Back this up, with real quotes.
Just run a Google search with the words Clone Jesus. "The Catholic Church opposes all forms of cloning" http://www.americancatholic.org/News/Cloning/

"Is it a medieval fake or a relic of Jesus Christ? A new analysis of DNA from the Shroud of Turin reveals that people from all over the world have touched the venerated garment."

That did in no way or form back up your assertion that they where worried that scientists would clone Jesus.

Joshua, if you have posted an baseless claim just say so.

I am not claiming you can clone Jesus. I am just saying the subject is open for discussion. If you want to look into this then run a google search on "clone Jesus" I was surprised when I first heard that they cloned dolly, I did not think it was possible. Now they have done a lot of research on cloning. Study it yourself. You decide if the claim is hyperbolic or not. If they could clone Jesus from the Shroud would that be a virgin birth? Would that constitute the second coming? These are the sort of questions that people are asking.

"Scientists could not create a Jurassic Park. Where dinosaurs are concerned, the answer is no - DNA cannot survive in fossil remains, or in insects in amber. But a Neolithic Park - recreating beasts from 10,000 years ago may well be possible - due to frozen animals found in mountainous and cold regions."

Your claim was that the church didnt want scientists to test the shroud because they where afraid of them cloning Jesus.

As you still cant back that up my conclusion is; you lied.

Hey, hey---go easy--

http://stuppid.com/jesus-christ-cloned/
PALO ALTO –

A billionaire-funded Christian organization is currently working to clone Jesus Christ after obtaining DNA from the Shroud of Turin and feel confident they will have a Jesus clone in 2016.

“The Jesus Has Returned Project is a private organization devoted to bringing about the Second Coming of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, as prophesied in the Bible,” the The Jesus Has Returned Project spokesman said. “Our intention is to clone Jesus, utilizing techniques pioneered at the Genetic Research Group in Switzerland, by taking an incorrupt cell from the Shroud of Turin, extracting its DNA, and inserting into an unfertilized human egg (oocyte), though the now-proven biological process called symbiotic cellular transfer. The fertilized egg, now the zygote of Jesus Christ, will be implanted into the womb of a young virginal woman (who has volunteered of her own accord), who will then bring the baby Jesus to term in a second Virgin Birth.”

If all goes according to plan, the birth will take place on December 25, 2015, bringing salvation to all who believe, the group claims.

How Can This Be Possible?

The group explains:

a. Modern cloning technology enables us to clone any large mammal – including humans – using just a single cell from an adult specimen.
b. Throughout the Christian world are churches that contains Holy Relics of Jesus’ body: his blood, his hair, his foreskin. Unless every single one of these relics is a fake, this means that cells from Jesus’ body still survive to this day.
c. However, ours is not fake. We are already have Christs’ DNA.

“No longer can we rely on hope and prayer, waiting around futilely for Jesus to return. We have the technology to bring him back right now: there is no reason, moral, legal or Biblical, not to take advantage of it.”

Jesus coming sooner than you think

While as Christians we have been waiting patiently for almost two thousands for the Lord to return from heaven, our wait may soon be over. According to some Jesus can be brought back by technology.

A secretive group called The Second Coming Project is trying to do just that by cloning Jesus. Michael Park of Fox news reports “Members of the group see cloning technology as a chance to literally bring Christ to the modern age.” “I'm hoping it will bring world peace,” said a source within the group, which claims 13 or 14 members from a wide range of religions, hometowns and professions. “Not some Armageddon as a tremendous battle where everyone dies, as some people believe.”

The group located in Berkeley, California hopes a cloned Jesus fetus could be placed in a female volunteer's womb and then carried to term in a totally immaculate conception. The birth is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 25, 2001, and the mother wouldn't necessarily have to be a virgin, the source said.” “ thus making Anno Domini 2001 into Anno Domini Novi 1, and all calendrical calculations will begin anew.”(Second coming project website).[Well the time has come and gone with no report on this taking place as planned. ]
