Netanyahu has rejected Hamas’ demands for a hostage deal, which includes an end to the war and the release of hundreds of veteran Palestinian prisoners serving long sentences in Israel for deadly attacks carried out as part of the long-running conflict. Netanyahu dismissed Hamas’ demands as delusional, even as Blinken said he believes continued negotiations, through mediators Egypt and Qatar, are possible.
Once again Netanyahu takes the time to evacuate civilians.

It's essential to understand why Hamas' demands for the hostage deal do not make any sense to Israel: Hamas demanded the complete withdrawal of all Israeli troops from Gaza - which is absurd as it would nullify Israel's clearly stated goal of removing Hamas from ruling Gaza, simply resulting in a rinse-and-repeat cycle of the October 7th events.

On the 6th of October there was a complete ceasefire between Hamas and Israel - nevertheless Hamas chose to attack anyone including unarmed civilians and commit atrocities that make the Nazis pale in comparison. Hamas also has clearly stated they will repeat these attacks until Israel does not exist anymore. Expecting Israel to accept any ceasefire or truce that does not include the eventual removal of Hamas and its leadership from Gaza is delusional.

And once again the Biden/Bliken duo is delusional. The only thing to stop the Hamas attacks against Israel is the complete destruction of Hamas. Anything less than that will simply lead to another attack against Israel in the future.
