  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sorry, I'm pretty slow on the draw tonight...
My brain does work faster than my fingers (happily). Sometimes I find I know what I meant; why didn't YOU?

The part about "why didn't YOU ?" is going over my head lol, sorry :) I don't know what you mean by that. Luckily, my laptop is getting near it's end, as are my eyelids finally :)

And 'tis Saint Paddy's Day, me boyo. Quite alright.
I was wondering if you'd see what I did there ;-)

This story has lead to the breed that believe Alien Abductions are actually Nephilim and the space ships are gods protective shroud etc etc. All I see is once again people desperately looking for some sort of vague link in the bible that explains something modern that was never mentioned in the bible.

You of course meant to say that something that does not exists is used to explain something else that does not exists and then used as evidence that both things exists.

Which is of course a major reason why the majority of atheists is of the opinion that religions is a waste of time....

We believe things in our heart because that's where people used to believe the centre of our body was and where our beliefs and thoughts and mind was - not in the brain.

I actually spoke with a person that felt her consciousness is located in the chest, and this was not just anybody but a medical researcher that knows the function of the body inside out. Her claim made me think more about it.

The brain process information, but that does not mean all information processing is located in the brain; the information processing processes (I avoid the word "brain" with purpose here) maps sensation, like pain, hunger, etc in space. That this is the case is trivial true (ask yourself: do you feel hungry in the head or in the stomach?)

These sensation are part of our mind per definition otherwise we would not be aware of them. There exists no factual reason to believe the mind is mapped to the head only. We might just believe or mind sits in the head because we misunderstood what modern science said about the brain, not because it actually is so. That is; where we process information may not need be the same place where we experience it.

So there may be something in the old beliefs that the mind and feelings is in the heart (or rather your chest because lost of it is already there if you thing about it, in particular feelings)... so don't discard old wisdom completely.

Has anyone looked up on this?? They are fallen angels and human hybrids. They existed in Noah's days and still do. I just want to let everyone know that the KJV bible translates nephilim into "giants"...it made me thinks things over....just look it up. Its interesting

EDIT I say still exists because in one verse, I can't remember it 100%, says that they were there in Noah's days and after. Signifying after as j. After the flood.

They still exist today? How can I recognise one when I see one?
