  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi, prayer warriors! :wave:

I could definitely use a little prayer support in the coming weeks.  I've had a feeling for some time now that God's got something in the works for me.  It's either something He's going to do through me, or something that's going to happen to me.  I think it's good, but I'm not 100% sure.  I've found myself getting a tad overwrought emotionally, in anticipation of this, and I'm letting myself get swayed by what I see going on around me, not what God is trying to tell me. I can also feel myself getting pulled down in general, either by the devil or my own human nature.  If you could pray that I can get my head cleared of all unnecessary and incorrect thoughts, that would be great.  All I want in there is God's wisdom, truth, and will. :) Also, I could use some help fighting the attacks that seem to be coming.

Finally....if you could pray that whatever God has coming for me really is good, that it comes to pass SOON, and that I DON'T SCREW IT UP, that would be much appreciated also.

Praying for you fieldmouse! Don't worry about screwing up-if you will just trust in God's leading, you won't screw up. He will be with you every step of the way. Just think about Moses and how reluctant he was to do God's will. He came up with every excuse possible. But when he finally turned things over to God, God was beside him in all He asked Moses to do. And He will do the same for you!
