CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wasn't sure how to respond to the situation at first, but here it goes.
We obviously don't know what kind of person she is, so it's hard to say in this situation whether it was an honest mistake or something to worry about. I find it off that she went to a dating site to look for people to talk to over something like these forums, but maybe she didn't have this resource. It could also be she wanted some attention from the opposite sex, which can cause problems in the future if she desires attention from other males often, but as this sounds like it's only happened once, and she came out and told you about it, says that it's not something that happens often, she's not trying to go behind your back, and she feels guilty about doing it.
I would have a sit down talk about the issue with her and hear the whole story out and discuss how it made you uncomfortable, and then drop it and not bring it up again if it never becomes an issue again.
