hello I am 23 almost 24 and I have two small boys.I have been married for 6 years but just recently he decided to get a divorce.we are legally separated right now have been for two weeks and we are suppose to sign divorce papers on friday. I really dont want the divorce but he is determined to do it. If anyone out there understands what Im going through I would really like to talk. And please everyone pray for me. This is really hard for me. thanks so much.God bless.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Father I pray for our sister trustinginhim that you guide her thru this time and her husband that you will intervine in this marriage. I've been through divorce...it's harsh, rough, terrifying, painful, and every other emotion you can think of

I am now two years plus into a divorce after a then 15 year marriage. My wife ambushed me with her surpise "I met someone." She totally and instantly erased me and our two 16 year old dogs from her life. I lost everything by her actions, except for the responsibility of our dogs. The house, my work, my excellent credit, and have been caring 24/7 for the dogs who are now old and very needy. I even paid for a complete divorce and she never followed through and I cannot do it because of my situation. Thus two years and still she carrys on with all the legal benefits of marriage while living with her lover. It is all crazy how people come out of the closet with a character you cannot recognize--but was always there.
It is probably good that your husband hastens the end if that is his determination. Get it over with though I know you will want to hold on to a hope things will change. If he wants out, remember Paul writes to let the spouse leave if he/she determines to do so. With no details of your situation other than your husband wants a divorce, not much can be said otherwise.
Divorces don't just suddenly happen. They are a while in coming when finally it happens. Think of the children first and be led by that responsibility before God. My parents divorced when I was 15 and no one cared about the children, very typical. Don't let them get lost in your pain.
